Brownlow and B&F

A couple of games to go but who do folk think will....

A)   Be our top Brownlow vote winner
B)   Win our Best and Fairest-The John Nicholl’s medal

Young Cripps spent the first bit of the year understudying Judd, but since his retirement Cripps has stepped up in a strong fashion.
His clearance work has been exceptional and his close-in play is right under the umpire’s vision. I reckon he’s the type of player that will poll well in the Umpire’s award.
Will it be the same in the B&F given that injury has curtailed the efforts of his competition (Murphy).

Who else has had a good year?

Doc for B&F and top the CFC Brownlow. Cripps will be up there, and certainly be on the table for bit of chicken or beef at Crown.

B&F: Docherty the early runner to be over taken by Murphy for his second b&f, Cripps will make a strong run home - especially with the coach in his corner.

Brownlow: Don't expect to see many votes. Murphy again.

I'd say B+F goes to Doc, closlely followed by Cripps and Murph.

Most Brownlow votes - Murph

I agree. Its a season where we won't be getting many Brownlow points overall.
This digital world is too much for us insects to understand.

Yep - I can't see any of our players getting even close to double figures.

Carlton has selected Marc Murphy, Sam Docherty and Patrick Cripps as its three nominees for the 2015 AFL Players' MVP (Most Valuable Player) award.

Every player on the Carlton list was required to select his three most valuable teammates, with the top-three vote getters listed as options in the second stage of voting.

Looks like it's a race in 3 for all our awards :D

MARC MURPHY
Murphy has continued his stellar career in 2015, relishing the captaincy and putting up his hand for a second All-Australian berth.

The 28 year-old’s disposal count was elite, ranking 19th in the AFL and first at Carlton, including a season-high 37 touches against the Hawks in Round 17 in what’s been his best season since winning the club’s best and fairest and the AFL Coaches’ Association Champion Player of the Year Award in 2011.

SAM DOCHERTY
Docherty has been a revelation off half-back for the Blues in 2015, proving to be one of the bargain recruits of recent years. Averaging over 20 disposals a game and leading the Blues for rebounds, the ex-Lion showed his class in Round 16 against Fremantle, registering 27 disposals and a goal.

PATRICK CRIPPS
The 20 year-old Blue, known by recruiters as “The Extractor” has been prolific in Carlton’s midfield in 2015, averaging 22 disposals and more than five tackles per game. The 194cm star picked up an astonishing 23 contested possessions against St Kilda in Round 4 and looms as one of the favourites to take out this year’s Rising Star award.

I reckon Cripps will go double figures in the Brownlow (10+)
We'll wait and see whether he's a vote-catcher ;)

Looks like we found one which might topple Jezza from his perch, in time :P

If he keeps doing what he's doing in the middle...then goes forward and kicks a hundred goals, and finishes up as an attacking half back....Yep....I'll concede he could :D

Seriously, I reckon he's as good a kid as we've had since I've been watching.
If he stays healthy he will be one of our greats.

Best thing that's happened to us since Judd signed up.

With the potential of providing us with more years of brilliance. As Lods stated, if he stays fit and healthy. ;)
