Thanks for keeping us up to date with this. Much appreciated. Shame about KGJ and DH.

Damn! I rally rate Hardiman. She may not be that quick, but she is a great competitor and was an excellent defender for us in the last 2 years. Gillespie-Jones was also a very solid defender for us.
Nor will they be easy for us to replace.

You can sort of see what is happening, the whole competition is being taken to a new lower less professional level, to make the games more open and scoring higher.

There is some irony that the new teams are focused mostly of defenders, especially given the AFLs criticism of Carlton.

Yep.

KGJ was one of the targetted KPF on the infamous whiteboard that got leaked. Turned into a defender. While good size, nothing to really write home about with footy smarts.
Hardiman on the other hand is probably not quite the size of KGJ, but has a better footy brain. Managed to get in the votes a few times last year.

Still, with Davey (hopefully) coming back, we will require one less of them in the team every week.

Better losing from an area we are abundant in rather than say, mids.

All seems very quiet, isn't today D-Day for signings?

Geelong picked up a couple of our 2017 delisted players, but it would appear that there isn’t much demand for our wooden spooners.

Injuries aside, we won't be wooden spooners next season.

We need to get some elite talent in the middle of the ground to avoid that. But I dare say we’d at least be better than Geelong. They’re list thus far is underwhelming at best.

Which of our delisted players did they pick up?

Jordan Ivey and......Kate Darby (?)

Neither played with us this passed season, although Ivey was recoverring from an ACL i think.

Nothing we should be worried about.

She probably needed a new start. Her time at Collingwood has been a disaster. Especially if she is not the focus, then she might play better.

North have done Collingwood a favour here.  Mo hope has been the most overrated footballer since Shane wowoeful.

Don't worry about them, they get some of those Western District farm girls on-board and end up tougher than our men, and bigger drinkers! :o
