3/4 time:
Carlton 2 - 2 - 14
Adelaide 1 - 2 - 8

1 goal to Vescio and one to Hosking.
Davey and Hardiman off that quarter. They were among our best. We didn't make enough of our chances and now it is raining.

Hardiman off too!

Is a 6 point lead enough with an injury cloud over our best defenders?
“Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?”  Oddball

We need to make the most of the wind in the third quarter.  The defenders are really working hard and effectively but a 3-4 goal buffer would be nice.

Not alot of wind here. Just chilly.

Really tight contest and now the rain comes.
Girls need an early goal here to steady.
Arnell had a slow start. Hope she can get them going. Davey and ?Harding off hurt us.
Against the wind in the last!

Adelaide hit the front. We can't get the ball out of defence.
Beating us around the packs at the moment.

Lost by 3 points. We had our opportunities, but couldn't make the most of them.

That's about the most biased commentating I've ever heard... >:(

They were a better side in the end...we didn't take advantage of the wind in the third and Davey being off for a bit hurt us.
Next time.

Certainly a lesson of opportunity. Unfortunate kick from Davey with a few mins  to play that went out.
Great contests all over the ground. Well done to our girls on a hard fought battle in difficult weather conditions.
Davey sensational again as was Downie. Again saw some of our next tier girls play really good footy. There'll be some sore bodies tomorrow.

Great effort blues. Injuries and terrible umpiring did not help.

As for the commentary on Fox....

Much better than the blatant bias v Pies.
Sounded like sa main commentator, with a reasonably well constrained excitement. There were multiple times when Sam Jacobs balanced comments to include the Blues perspective. I liked that ^-^

I thought the commentary was a lot worse in the GWS game.

...but it was still pathetic today.

Early on Crows player having a shot on goal. Sauce Jacobs says what she needs to do to allow for the wind, where to aim etc. As soon as he has finished saying that, "So, what does she need to do to allow for the wind here".  :o

Getting player numbers wrong etc.

THEN they have the audacity to say that this is a professional competition and the players need to lift with that professionalism and stop making amateur mistakes!  :o :o ::) :-\

Obviously there was the Crows bias there, but today showed that umpires in the AFLW can be influenced by the crowd too.  ::)

Good game to watch, considering the lack of scoring done, mainly due to the wind.

Davey clearly our best, when off the ground the crows kicked 2 goals and it cost us the game.
Vescio couldn't get near it, still makes the most of every opportunity. Was almost worth throwing her in the middle late in the game to try and win it.
Hardiman was solid in defense, and we were hurting when she went off too.

Plenty of other notable efforts...
Downie was amongst our bests.
Loynes, Pound, Hosking and Exon had a lot of physicality, but possibly not enough influence on the game. Flying the flag though.
Keryk was also pretty solid and will be better for the run.
