This is just terrible news firstly for Andrew and for the Carlton team in general, Walks was one I was looking forward to seeing him unleashed this season. Let's hope it's only minor and he's right to go in Round 1.

Walker injures shoulder

Quote:
Although the injury is to the same shoulder that kept Walker out of the first fifteen matches in 2008, it is not a recurrence of the same injury.

That's good news isn't it? Pray

I'm sooo guttered for him Sad

Hopefully its a minor setback because we really need his aggression, hardness and running in the side.

Fingers crossed he is right for Round 1.

I feel so sorry for Walks he's put in so so much effort to get where he is and now to be kicked in the guts again it's gotta hurt the guy big time.

I need to quite working for a living. Miss all this action in one day.

Walker again.... Some kids just can't get a break. Probably one of the most needed players inour line-up and he just has issues with his shoulders. I really wish him the best in recovery. He has waited so long to really strutt his stuff. I'll just pray for the 4-5 weeks recovery.

Wonder how poor old DOA is doing at the moment. Stay strong DOA.

An unmitigated disaster; no other way to describe it. Considering all the hassles he has been through over the last couple of years with his choulder, this is bad news indeed.
Hopefully his docs can get things "right" ASAP, as this has really haunted him for long enough.

If recovery goes to plan should be back for round 1 or early season proper anyway. Bad luck but we move on and someone else gets a chance in the NAB Cup!

Does anyone have an update on how the diagnosis of the scans on Tex's shoulder went today (27/1)?

This is such bad news, I really feel for him. Lets hope he has a positive attitude to it all, must be hard after so many times tho. Hope he's head strong, poor bugger.

I agree. From what I hear he is really close with Juddy and that can only be a good thing for him. Would have just been the polish he needs. I did read that he said that it isn't anything major and that he should be right to go for round 1 but I don't know what to believe about the injury?

Best not to believe anything until the results of the scan and the longevity of the injury are written officially on the club or afl website Smile

Walks does not require surgery. He will be on a modified program and eased back into training.

We are still comming.
