A bit convoluted, Ratts. Nice to see you can butcher language with the best of 'em. That could be construed as Santy going back. That is regarded in certain circles as a Peter-Paul cash transaction of a questionable sort however we can read too much into these sorts of things. Am sure it's just a "we're exploring all the options" kind of line.
Ratts acknowledged we've used 37 players this year, so the Play The Kids Brigade should be happy.
Tough for Jammo – and us – if he misses the finals and the team doesn't. |

Like Mav said in another thread he has struggled to be at his best all year with his shoulder so we've kinda been surviving without him. Be a huge boost to the side next year when a fit Waite and Jamison come back. |

Setanta should play CHF IMO, we still have Austin, Bower and T-Bird to cover opposition talls.
I am definitely not opposed to Cloke getting another crack, that's for sure. |

So far 37 players used so far this year, Warnock will make 38 probably at some stage. Life hasn't been too kind to us on the injury front.
What's the record? |

Wait till the end of the season Jim. We will have set what ever it was. Then again, are we equiped with good recovery coaches ??? Are some of the injuries we are suffering soft tissue and due to poor recover for future games. Or just coincidence. I know the shoulders and knees are just bad luck issues. |

a possibility/guess that the extra weights work Jammo does to strengthen his shoulder could be the problem with his groin. I understand the shoulder still gives him problems.
One more win and we'll play finals. With or without Jammo its a good experience for our boys and the club. Saying that i don't think we'' cause any damage and lets look forward to 2010. |

Not sure what the record is but I know Freo have used 40 this season.
Edit: According to afl.allthestats.com St Kilda used 62 in 1911 |

Every player on our list played in 2002, other than Waite. |

| THE season of key Carlton defender Michael Jamison's season goes on the line at a fitness trial tomorrow. |
| Quote: |
The 193cm defender had an injection last Saturday to ease the soreness that prevents him from running at full pace and he was told to rest from the Blues' wet workout at Visy Park yesterday.
We're going to try and see if he can get through training on Thursday," Icke said.
"He had the injection over the weekend and they normally say the longer you can leave it, the better.
"So, he'll look to train on Thursday and then we'll make a decision on whether we'll take the long-term view or still try and get him up.
"There's a few other avenues to try in the short term." |
I hope they don't make it worse ala Chris Judd and the Eagles a few weeks back. |

JAMISON not Jamieson
Hope we get him back. If we don't we get him right for day 1 of pre-season! |

Leave him be.
Too much to lose for insignificant gain. Would be short term selfish of the club to play him. This is not the year thats important.
If we lose a final playing him, half the site will still blame it on no Waite and a underdone Jamo, so we mayswell leave him out and give them something to talka bout. |

It's more than likely that Jamo will find it very hard to get fully 100% this year. Our defence has been doing OK so why not focus on getting him right for next year? Look no further than Andrew Walker as a warning on the dangers of impatience and short-cuts. |

I'd say get him right for 2010. Last year Heath Scottland suffered from the same symptoms as young Jammo. Then the decision was made to let Scottland play on than rather have him go in for the surgery. Scottland didn't start running until January |

As much as I would love to see him back soon, I would rather wait and see him string more than half a dozen games together to get this backline in sync and gel like what we will need next season. Too many changes and instability. Love the kid to bits and hope he serves a great and long career as our top 10 ever defenders of all time. Must have walked under too many ladders with Walker I guess. Or had too many black cats cross their paths.
Shouldn't mess with a mans groin as it can cause so many problems later on, with more surgical issues. |

All depends on what the actual issue really is, we have no idea. Also depends on what Jamo wants also, for all we know the doctors might be erring on the side of caution and Jamo wants to be there for his mates in September.
Either way we'll know sooner rather than later because it sounds like the injection is the last chance. |
