You can only hope that there is some reason somewhere in the footy club...

Maybe they've seen enough of Dow to know he is worth persevering with next year, so it's Fogarty's turn ?

Yeah, I just went searching...
It would be unusual for him to only have 1 year and the cfc article said that he was contracted @geelong...

I found a mmm article dated 01/06/2018 saying that he signed a 2 year extension to take him through to the end of 2021.
Maybe we just took him and his contract off geelongs hands ?
Let’s go BIG !

Rumored Dow was offered a minimal contract....

Our Contracted / Un contracted thread shows him as "2021+?", so I'm not sure how long his contract is.
According to footy wire, Fog is OOC this year (2021). I read an article in one of the papers today and it said that he is OOC this year.
2017-16th
2018-Wooden Spoon
2019-16th
2020-dare to dream? 11th is better than last I suppose
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time

surely he did enough early on in the year to suggest hes worth a contract  for next year

While looking for his contract status I found this Fantasy Footy article that talks a little of his inconsistency...

Easy to explain, he came from Geelong and started like a house on fire. Then he became Carltonised and the rest is history.

I was referring to his drop in form this year.

Last week's match report
BEST
Port Adelaide: Boak, Aliir, Amon, Wines, Bergman, Byrne-Jones, Rozee
Carlton: Walsh, Kennedy, Murphy, Dow

Ab
ps: Paddy Dow - 18 possessions 3 marks 2 tackles (doesn't sound too bad)

Interestingly,  the CFC website normally has best players and goal kickers after their match report….. but that has been removed!!!  It may have made for embarrassing reading!!!
