Jim Park Voting AFL Rd 1 Carlton vs Richmond

Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:
[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh or Patrick Cripps)
[3] Three players at least must get a mention.
[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-.

Someone has to play well.

Weird game, by the end of the 1st Qtr it was the same old same old and we'd lost at the selection table with a lack of run, guys jogging through the midfield behind a division of streaming forward faster opponents.

Then Voss did something what it was we'll never know, we basically stopped panicking and gained some composure, instead of hot hospital passes we sold the dummy, a repeat of the changes in composure we've seen in pre-season. Then in our good fortune in the 2nd half Prestia got injured costing the Ferals a lot of run and reducing their available options.

It's probably a game where our coach needs a vote!

When was the last time we all put 4+ midfielders in our votes.....?
This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

Last night was a lot of firsts, but it was, most of all, the time in in a long time when we haven’t been soft. It was a powerful team performance over a side that has enjoyed the wood over us. No longer.

Votes:
[2.5]   Patrick Cripps
[2.5]   Matthew Kennedy
[1.5]   Adam Cerra
[1.5]   Marc Pittonet
[1.5]   George Hewett
[1.5]   Adam Saad
[1]   Sam Docherty
[1]   Mitch McGovern
[1]   Corey Durdin
[0.5]   Jack Silvagni
[0.5]   Tom de Koning

Explanations:
[2.5]   Patrick Cripps:      A dominant performance from Cripps, with 30 possessions, lots of clearances and 3 goals.
[2.5]   Matthew Kennedy:   3 goals, and 33 possessions. A great effort.
[1.5]   Adam Cerra:   An excellent game for his first in our colours.
[1.5]   Marc Pittonet:   A giant job taking on and beating 2 guys who have had his measure in the past.
[1.5]   George Hewett:   An excellent debut, topped off with excellent disposal.
[1.5]   Adam Saad:      A slow start, but the longer it went, the better he got.
[1]   Sam Docherty:   Great to see him doing so well after his cancer issues.
[1]   Mitch McGovern:   Not the perfect defensive game, but a solid one.
[1]   Corey Durdin:      Always looked dangerous.
[0.5]   Jack Silvagni:      Had he got goals, he’d have been higher.
[0.5]   Tom de Koning:   A couple of towering marks and a fantastic last quarter in the middle.

Honourable Mentions:
Oscar McDonald:   Made a solid impression in defence.
Jacob Weitering:   Destroyed his opponents.
Jack Martin:      Didn’t do enough, but when it mattered, he really lifted.
Zac Fisher:      Didn’t do enough, but when it mattered, he really lifted.
