Bell, Curnow, White, Smith, Ellard and Curnow - all should be dropped.

Also, Jamo and Simpson really should be dropped. Both horribly out of form. Jamo is a cancer. Panics at the earliest opportunity and it spreads through the team. Just can't carry players like this. He's psychologically shot.

The guy is in the leadership team. What does that tell you about the makeup of our list.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: 2015 Rd2 Carlton vs West Coast Post Match Pain & Suffering
Ellard.... come on... Ellard... Really???

Smith? Why was he playing? Did the coaches not watch last week's game? Waaaay off the pace. Too small which is fine if you're really quick but he's not quick... at all!

Sam Rowe. Bell. Carazzo. Curnow.

Judd went out of the game without a whimper. Priddis got a hard tag (Curnow) but had 31 pos.

At least Judd was in the game at some point. Murphy is a complete liability when not dominating. Does not man up or chase so his opponent ran straight through the middle unchallenged for most of the night.

All of this is to the side of the main point: The whole team mentally is not worth 2 bob.

Jamo is in the leadership group! The most panic stricken, negative, selfish player in the league is in our leadership group!!!!!!!!! He played for too long next to Bret Thornton and caught some contagious compulsive pants crapt!ng disease.
(Selfish as in never helps out his teammate - just watches his own opponent. Couldn't even do that this week)

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: 2015-Rnd 2 West Coast vs Carlton (Ingame)
Jones and Tutt are now confirmed Dud selections.

You've got about 16 other players to look at before you get to the forwards. Our midfield has not laid a glove on them for 3 quarters.

The forwards are the least of our worries. The one area of the team we don't need to complain about as they've actually been very efficient. When the ball only gets there once every half hour they are not the players you want to be singling out for anything.

If someone can explain to me why Smith is playing that would be great.

Also why Casboult didn't play last week that would be great.

Also why Henderson cannot hold a mark while playing in attack.

Also why Curnow is playing.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 1 - Blues Lose To Tigers (Aftermatch Angst & Teeth Gnashing)
Jaksch played out the game and kicked a really great goal after suffering broken ribs. Plenty to like about that.

Docherty's best game for the club. I can really see a future for him.

Yarran, Simmo, Murph, Gibbs really really poor. Regularly combined to hand the momentum to Tigs and then went missing.

Murphy looks short of a run. Putrid.

Menzel was good. Hendo and Jones had forgettable nights (though Jones could have kicked 4 goals) but when the team can't clear the halfway line for 3 quarters the forwards look terrible.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: 2015 AFL Season - Rnd 1 Carlton vs Richmond (April 2nd MCG)
I thought Buckley, Boakhorst, Casboult and Tutt were all pretty unlucky to miss.

Having said that they didn't really demand a position through the preseason games.

Having said that - the same could be said for quite a few others.

Would have liked one preseason game where Murphy, Gibbs, Judd and Wood were all playing on the same team.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Tonight
Definitely an ordinary result. hoping the narrow dung heap ground and howling wind didn't help our young guys.

QEO is a massive ground which should better suit our running players like Boekhorst.

Bell was probably our best. Followed by 2e and maybe Jaksch who was solid.

Can't remember one decent entry into the forward line To our tall guys which gave them even half a chance.

Robert Heatley Stand / midfield - light on
Hun article legitimately points out how light on we are this year for established mids. Most of our relievers are really b or c grade at this point.

Got to hope Cripps, Whiley, etc. Can become proper mids.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Pick your best 22 players
Seriously though - you'd have to wait until a couple of preseason games are done to see which of the new guys looks like making the most impact. Until then the starting 22 I'd go with:

B   Andrew Walker   Michael Jamison   Kristian Jaksch
HB   Chris Yarran   Sam Rowe   Kade Simpson
C   Blaine Boekhorst   Bryce Gibbs   Dale Thomas
HF   Levi Casboult   Liam Jones   Andrejs Everitt
F   Troy Menzel   Lachie Henderson   Jason Tutt
Fol   Matthew Kreuzer   Chris Judd   Marc Murphy
IC   Dylan Buckley   Mark Whiley   Zach Tuohy
   Patrick Cripps

I'm a little concerned about Cripps pace. He, Tutt and Whiley would be the most borderline selections. Unless those type of guys can really come through it could be a long year.

We don't bat that deep really. I don't really rate Bell, Curnow and Graham but if they come good then great.

Fol   Chris Judd   Chris Judd   Chris Judd
IC   Chris Judd   Chris Judd   Chris Judd
