Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL 2023 Preliminary Final Carlton vs Brisbane Pre Game Prognostications
I've done it. Said I'd accept any ticket including standing room nut had a thought they'll shove me there first. My preference is a good ticket and I'll pay for it. I'll accept standing room but id rather not.Same and I have two kids with me too so not keen on standing room at all, Altho one kid is taller than me so that would be ok but the other is a little girl.
What are you guys doing?
But I figure if we’re there somewhere then it’s a bloody good day and we’ll take what we get!!
I did think elderly or people with mobility issues, how is that fair on them too?!

Meanwhile absolutely surreal to get an email from
The club regarding GF tickets 😳 and priority access! I was bemoaning paying the extra this year for that, when we were in our slump. I really hope we get to utilise it this year 🙏🏽

Qantas have put more flights up returning on monday if you can have the day off. My mrs and I were able to secure flights for 750 PP return, flying up on Friday night, and returning monday. There there are 4 of us so it is an expensive journey, Nevermind will be cheering them on from home 😊

So got onto Ticketmaster at 10.30 and got tickets immediately - did best price and came back with $650 for 4. So tried again with cheaper tickets 5 mins later and again got a shot at it for $315!
But with flights being $3k return just not doable unfortunately this year as we have an OS trip booked for next year we’re already paying off.
Was surprised that I had access for tickets still at 10.40, had assumed it’d sell out.
Enjoy Thryleon, I really hope we get to play in the final game of the year 🤞🏼

My head says we are the walking wounded and our season is about done BUT I didn’t realise sitting at the MCG watching that first quarter against GC that from the second quarter on, we would be a completely changed team that would not stop. But it happened.
Also free game for us, nothing to lose - expecting to see no nerves this time around which hopefully means that we hit our kicks spot on and take our opportunities early.

first time post - walked this path many times over the years (first Blues memory 68 grand final)I think a Cripps with a broken nose and a mattress around his ribs, an Acres with half a collarbone, a Doc with a popping out shoulder etc etc is more than what we have to come in. You cannot take those 3 out for those reasons, maybe Acres as he was holding his arm up and it is obvs paining him immensely, but you’re taking out one of our very best who has played with the condition - Under extreme heat, and done magnificently. I would say absolutely not.
as much as it sounds painful - there is an old saying a half fit so and so is better than a fully fit so and so.
l have seen this happen many times with all AFL clubs only to pay the consequences.
there are some banged up boys right now who will be going into next week game not fully fit - anyone had a broken nose or a dislocated shoulder (l can see Zorko lining up Patty Cripps nose) l don't think a jab will rectify .
should the board go completely left field and rest them and play a fully fit team - or run the risk of a 60 point lose next week.
l don't know.

Did caro ever retract her ‘Cripps and doch don’t like their teammates and stay at different hotels
From the team’ comment??!!

Did cunners get subbed out for injury? Or form??
I was critical they didn’t start Hollands but my son said he’d have been annihilated by the Melb big boys, it was just so fantastic to see him fresh and with run in the last - I just really rate him, he’s smart and backs himself!
Another that just has my full respect is Saad, it’s so rare he stuffs it up and his kicks are usually razor perfect 👌🏼
How good was Crippas interview after the game, he was bloody ecstatic!!!

Unbelievable!
Ollie H important in that last quarter - looked as fresh as a daisy!
The absolute scenes at the ground is something I will remember for ever!!! Screaming jumping high fiving just unbelievable they didn’t stop. I was resigned to losing and was ok with it as I could see they were running out of puff but tadaaaaaa not quite yet

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL 2023 Semi Final Carlton vs Melbourne at the MCG
I got my ticket today as a guest pass and I'm a full AFL Gold member for the last 28 years.Wow okay, so my tickets and getting through 8 minutes after it opened to members, are quite good.
I got on at 12:20 and no seats in the AFL members stand. i was lucky to get that seat as it was.
tried every level and none found. I was livid cost me $83 instead of $22.
I shudder to think what might happen if we make the GF.
Melb member got tickets up further than us, also family pass. Would love to know how the areas are sold and what is open to who according to membership as surely long standing AFL member is more than Carltonian member home games only 🤷🏻♀️
