Three kicks of about 15-metres each in the shape of a triangle amongst ourselves and we progressed the ball 1-metre.

I just don't understand the logic at all.

So we've had two coaches now - no three - who've been incapable of reaching this soft club how to tackle.  We are hopeless.

It's not logic.  It's a lack of confidence of the guys up forward.  And a lack skills.  We never seem to hit players on the chest.

So it's the first quarter, Everitt kicks a goal and know one seems to care.  A few high fives but that's it.  You'd think it was twenty minutes into the last and we we're ten goals down.

Why not Graham

What what worried me was last weeks presser after the GWS game when MM said he had no idea why the Blues don't put in the same effort against lower placed opponents vs top 8 sides. After 18 months surely he should have found out by now and put appropriate strategies and resources into place to address the issue?

About the same as our previous first quarter against them.  We kick the first they dominate the rest of the term.

But to lack that much intensity and heart when playing The Filth is a disgrace.  Every other team this week has given a cr!p.  Not us.

Watching the last 10 centre bounces after a goal, I have noticed that when Gibbs is involved, he is going too far into the centre circle and when either ruckman taps the ball out, he is completely out of position to get it.

Yes indeedy! Both need replacing if we are to move forward.

Walker and Hendo pretty ordinary as well tonight.

Rowe is doing OK though and we should definitely persevere with Casboult.

Sam Rowe is good to go for another contract ......Yarran been very good and Robbo is playing his heart out but needs to work on the left cross.

Still in the game but Collingwood should be further in front......at least we tried in the 2nd quarter and looked more intense.

Good quarter by the Blues, some of our better players starting to get involved, Walker and Tuohy very good, Rowe holding his own, Casboult much better than last week, Robbo playing well, Carratts doing well on Pendlebury.
We're right in this game but our skills are still rough, we need a bit of luck.

re: Brock...I reckon this is his last season and carrots while doing a better job on Pendlebury isnt giving us his usual drive.
Daisy has 3 turnovers and one goal...compare that to Eddie Betts work for the Crows today..

Casboult has been trying hard but we just bomb the ball to him too much and expect him to mark it everytime...

Henderson at CHF doesnt work and he needs to go down back,,,Walker to the forward line is a no brainer IMO...looks more dangerous and doesnt stuff up
like he does down back..

Looks like "push in the back" is not a rule any more
Umpiring is the worst it has EVER been. They will not pay the obvious frees, and you can break the rules and not be penalized, There is no excuse for what they dish up every week because there are three of them to supposedly see everything. THEY are destroying the game more than anything, because if they paid the frees that they should, then the game would open up as players leave the pack situation and run to where the ball is going to be kicked.

Won't drop duds
Won't play kids
Won't play blokes in best roles
Won't develop game to suit existing list
Doesn't develop players
Players don't believe his crap any more...

%&$## off Malthouse you're past it.
Either way off the mark or..... Might be on to something

Maybe if the umpires blew their whistle more quickly once packs develop over the ball, we wouldn't have this unsightly rolling rugby maul that goes on too  >:(

For FKS sake, we just cannot stick a tackle when it matters. That was weak by Robbo, and he's been far from our worst.

I like the look of Johnson. I have never seen him before, but he can kick, and goes in. Could be a good player for us next year with a full pre-season and a bit of muscle.

Once again tackling - a basic of the game - lets us down.  Murphy's not shot on goal was dreadful.  Curnow's hospital kick to Gibbs sums up the night.

YEp, all correct, but hasn't changed the outcome of the game. These taggers get away with murder every week.. It's easily solved. The umps know who they are, so the second they hold a jumper just pay a free and tell them that you will pay a free every time they do it. That will fix it.
