Great start... 6 goals u beauty.   Tiges fought back like a decent team should but we steadied.

Im happy with the intent... we are attacking so it's gonna bite us from time to time with turnovers.

Dont know if we can win if it turns into an arm wrestle... so lets keep attacking and see what happens.

The Tigers premiership hangover lasted about 10 minutes. Back on top by the end of that quarter.

Loving what the boys are bringing to the contest. Keep it up lads.

If we can get a goal early will be great need to steady, after our initial burst Tiges created a skirmish and unsteadied our players

Yes, 2 or 3 times we've coughed it going forward.

Richmond getting alot more of it and doing better but we are able to score when they get close.

Please resign cripps for a further 10 years!!

Jack needs to contest harder and need more from Cas if we are going to win this.

Will miss Kennedy as the game goes on.

So i was one suggesting that we should have played McKay tonight.

I thought it should've been at Weiterings expense, but would've been ok if it was at Casboults.

Just had a look at the half time stats.

Weitering - 1 handball
Casboult - 1 handball

Those 2 are the lowest possession getters, and supercoach scorers on the ground!

It may well have been McKay with only 1 handball. And just to be clear, I wanted him to have a block of games to start the season.

Weitering and Casboult are struggling at either end. Doubt we'll see alot from Levi tonight with Rance on him. Best he'll do is occupy Rance's time. Weitering will sort himself out as time goes.

Yes, and he'd be better for the run.
It will give no benefit to the other 2 to put in a similar performance. Their confidence will be shot.

4 points up and there are about 6 non contributors. A full team effort 2nd half and we could hang in there.  BTW Dow hasn’t done a lot, but what he has done and what he’s tried to do looks very, very good. Just needs to find the tempo.

I guess so. And just to reiterate my pre season rants, I'm worried about Weeters, and it's got nothing to do with match ups.

I'm not worried about him long term, i just think he's our 4th best defender and he is simply not needed in certain games, this was the obvious one i pointed out previously, but there will be more.

Great start and honestly if we made a few less mistakes could have been much better. They worked their way back in with the help of further mistakes and umpiring assistance but you have to love their attacking flair. Very entertaining. Let's just keep our noses in front for 2 more quarters.  :)
Have to think the young bodies will tire as the game goes on. Simmo, Crippa, Murph, Kreuz all good. Backline real good (apart from Weitering who looks panicked?)
Charlie and Wri.ght have been great up forward. Mullett, no good. SOS and Levi terrible.
If we are in front at 3/4 time we are a real chance I think.

Weiters does not look like a happy camper atm. Needs to settle and build confidence. Byrne looked a bit shakey early but seems to have steadied now. Levi is certainly struggling on Rance but many do.

True but at the end of the day it's about out put, and it's not there at the moment. A little make or break time for SOJ doesn't impact at times , if he has low numbers then he needs to have a few goals to his name, but does happen either

We are getting hammered by those fecking maggots. Every time we get tackled, free kick. Where was Curnow's prior? Every time they get tackled, ball up, or the Kent maggots find a free for them.
Their first goal, which broke our momentum was the softest free ever given.
AFL love a fairy tale, so long as it's not Carlton wearing the tiara!

Simmo showing he was right not to retire, standout again. Worried about SOJ , not many places he can play really? Little impact.

Murphy was almost our best in the first half but completely disappeared that qtr.

Yes we need a lift from him, Weitering and SPS. Just need to hold on and hopefully they don’t risk Kreuzer as he doesn’t look right

4pts down 3qtr time... Id have taken that if offered at the start of tge game.

Battered and bruised I cant see us hanging on...  :(

If Kruezer can get back out there maybe Casboult can clunk a few in the last and get us over the line.... hmmm Im clutching at straws

For the amount of guys who have not had any impact it's amazing we're only down by 4 points!
Need a big quarter from Muphy seeing as he had a real good rest that quarter. Cripps has been ENORMOUS. Can he carry us on his back?

You're falling into the same trap as flyboy - looking at their players individually they're average - but as a collective, as a team, their best 22 is great.

there was an incident in the centre with about 2.15 left=- either a kick or a stomp but it was very ordinary.

Nince tiges mark, obvious shepard by Lippy Riewoldt, gees they get  a better run with the maggots than essenscum, and that's saying something

Graham and Byrne would be the contest. Bit of a scrap from a rundown tackle on Byrne. Didn't see anything too bad from it, but i dont think the camera caught the whole stoush.

We were dead exhausted that last qtr but we did keep hanging in. Bigger, stronger bodies ran then game out alot better.

Weitering will never play a game that bad again............ever! SOJ struggled big time, Levi couldn't get near it in the first half but waaay better in the 2nd half when he was rucking and away from Rance

Jeeeeez.

He's a follower not a leader. He's the guy that gets on the end of others good work and when the whips are cracking he disappears from games to an extent where you could be forgiven for thinking he'd actually left the state.

got out of the starting blocks like we had a point to prove,
when the game settled, a few couldnt get into it, a few lifted and a couple got hurt

Could have blown out in the end, it didnt which was good, but the following were poor

silvagni (lack poise, fustrated quickly)
weitering ( a real concern)
casboult
lamb

fisher stepped up, garlett was ok, cripps had to do it all, wright was great, curnow lives up to the hype, dow needs to learn pressure the other way

3-4 years ago we laughed at this mob, they are reigning premiers now and finished like them.

Best we go and end it all now...

In support of Kruddler’s point of recent weeks, Weitering was on a mismatch with a jumping jack, someone did mention that he looked panicked, it’s no wonder...
SPS was patchy, I liked Fisher in the middle, Kennedy was sensational before being injured, as was Kruiser.
Sos was in a lot of contests and presented, just didn’t win many.
Not sold on Mullet. Cas was ordinary before going into the ruck.
