Everyone has seen the potential from TDK, everyone believes he can do it. He seems to be the only one who hasn't seen it. Year on year we keep waiting. Perhaps THIS is the year he finally gets it. Could be a good year for him and us if it is.
He is still improving and as many of us have have said on here he proves a big challenge for opposition as around the ground he is a very difficult match up and actually impacts the result like the very best rucks in the comp can do. My concern is if he goes down we have very little to draw upon. Pitto is older slower and pretty much useless around the ground-will be a massive downgrade if that happens. I would be in favour of maybe resting TDK for games against the bottom 4 teams to give his body extra time to recover. TDK is as important as charlie and weitering imo to us going further this year. We need to look after him by resting him when suitable imo.
Well below our best but again found a way and took the points. Team has really matured.
Cripps huge and TDK is showing why he was so highly rated. Competed with a old school quality ruckman and when the game was on the line in the last he had another gear to go to. Becoming one of a few that we cant afford to go down. Off to have my scotch
Thought both whipping boys Young and Boyd competed well and held their own.
Williams slotted in like he hasnt missed a beat - gave us ran out of back 50 and uses it well even when in traffic. Has very good vision and does'nt panic
Still cant warm to Fantasia. I trust Voss and will hopefully later in the season will see why we got him in.

While the 2007 comeback was greater by 2 points it was between 2 bottom tier teams - last nights was a comeback against last years finalist on their home patch. Was an amazing effort
We now have genuine belief. How many teams come back from 46 points down when not at full strength at the hardest venue in the comp? Only the very best can achieve that. Our boys know what they are capable of. Hoping doc is not a serious injury but this game proves beyond any doubt we are a serious threat to add to silverware this year.
Midfield need to get it together - they are doing okay just not connecting with backline. Need a general in the backline to orchestrate things - maybe Doc needs to fill a leadership hole there until Weits returns
Agree. Doc has to lead the defence until Weiters returns.
Cant have the likes of Kemp Young Boyd and co playing in as a group in such a pressure position without a general providing on field guidance.
That was his best game for us and by some margin. But it is a one off at this stage.
Remember Nick Duigan being the finals hero against the tigers? Next week against Sydney he was average. He never played again.
So be careful about '1 good game'.
Go back and watch some of his efforts last year and there was a lot of under (a little bit of) pressure moments where he simply folded. There was a lot of similarities between him and LOB. The latter also had some positive moments, but they were the exception rather than the rule.
Best thing going for Boyd is that he is one of the only blokes on our list who can play on a small forward in a lockdown role. Other blokes like Saad, Docherty, Williams, even Newman are better off as attacking players rather than lock down players.

Omg he has played 9-10 games. You wrote him off after he made some turnovers in his first game and its like you wont dare admit you may have gone a tad early.
You were adamant your opinion on Young being useless was all confirmed in the first practice match yet in Boyds case lets not read much into it cause its just a practice match.
Guys relax its a practice match. They key is game time getting run into the legs and avoiding injuries.
This group knows exactly what its capable of and these nothing games are not where you put the hammer down as pushing to the limit is when you increase the chance of a soft tissue injury. You build into the season not go flat stick in a game that is meaningless.
We won alot of games in the second half of the season off pure guts, second efforts and wanting it more then out opposition. Drop the intensity even by 10% and we drop to a mid tier team at best.
The intensity will be back up once there is 4 points on the line and we will again be a hard team to beat.
