I think it is totally dependant on the game plan Vossy wants to implement. A run and gun game and punish the opposition from turnover Or a contested tough game and punish the opposition in the inside and dominate clearances
Vossys and list make up DNA is gameplan number 2 so need two rucks that assist with clearances and stoppages. Energy spent in contest and winning celaranes
Gameplan one score from turnover - energy spent on run so two rucks won't cut it need more runners.
Pinot....not sure they'll risk Cerra....only been a week and a bit since the hamstring strain even though it was a mild one. Love him back but the midfield can do this one without him IMO. Cincotta is the likely one in for Williams if he doesn't come up.
Didn't watch the VFL game but Moir amongst the goals. Having TDK forward probably makes it a bit harder for Moir given he's more of a mid-size/3rd tall.
Yeah Moir had a good game yesterday. Three classy goals from all sorts of angles and 7 tackles.
Bought alot of aggression to his game yesterday. Another 2-3 games like that and will be in the mix.
Went back to our brutal contested best in dominating clearances. Goals from turnover have gone down a little to prop up our one wood. No problem with two rucks but this team spends its energy in the contest so two rucks makes more sense as they add to the contested brutality. I guess we have two game plans a turnover game and inside game which is good for this group to pull different levers. Adding Cerra and Fogarty.. Doc next year adds to the brutality.
I have no problem with going into the match with no run - but need to scrap the game plan from beginning of year as that handball run and gun game from turnover is not going to work with two rucks.
I have no problem if its the game plan of last year contested dominating stoppages and clearances then two rucks makes more sense but run and gun from turnover is not going to work.
I just watched the footage of Crouch cleaning up Carroll. Crouch’s attack on the footy was perfect with his body turned to protect his head while gathering the ball. Carroll, on the other hand, led with his head and was always going to get collected.
The free was there but there is an argument that Carroll ducked into it.
Bot should study that footage and learn how to protect himself in that situation.
run , run and more run. We looked out of sorts changing up formation - alot of players looked lost including Weitering expecting players to do a job up the field to play his natural game but our runners were too gassed. 2 minutes of sprinting is alot of work for a player. Pitto taking up half a game over works our runners
