The big thing out of this victory - is our boys stayed engaged in the contest. Even the final moments of the match where Crippa called TDK out of the ruck contest that threw Jackson into a tangent and made a big error. What a move by Crippa.
A consistent home and away team needs stability and understanding your roles.
TDK has been great in the ruck - looks much more battle hardened now and winning more tackles and clearances..and hit outs than last year. I don't think he is in good form its his natural growth and no one knows where his ceiling is just yet. Lets find out where that is and we will never find out if his rhythm is disrupted.
I think Voss and team wants more endurance runners that run in waves and handball alot. TDK is smashing his personal bests and there is no stopping him.
Cottrell is one of the players to work in space and stop the transition and quite frankly first three games have been woeful. Lucky to get a tackle out of him at the moment. Ollie had a better game - much more productive Durdin is a nice finisher but four touches and one tackle in three qtrs of football is not enough.
5. McKay - he did everything you expect from a superstar 4. Hewett - a good hard nut display 3. Cripps - Kicking goals and winning plenty of clearances 2. Cerra - tackling and pressure was off the charts 1. Elij Hollands - his work rate is off the charts
How many young mids do you want in the 2’s and though I’m reluctant to ask, who should be gone (mid season mind you…) to create room for these potential Brownlow medalists ? Asking for a friend…
About two would be nice - Campo boys coming through I suppose but in this game we had no mid controlling the game
