Unfortunately we tend to play to the level of the opposition no matter who it is. Same as the last couple of decades, the want and hunger isn't there consistently. Doesn't matter what you change, without that you often fall short of the end goal.
If we play 1 goal better than the opposition each week, that gives us a flag. ;)

Yes agree spot on. Just be nice to relax and enjoy a stressless win for once.  Anyhow let’s see how we go maybe we run away with it now.

LOB is a very good pass off 1 step. He's done 2 of them now, both resulting in set shots at goal.

Shephard off the ball there, surely, you ball that up.

Not sure there's a rule that allows for that. When Carey marked the ball and called a ball-up, that was only because he should have let it drop and then it would have been play on, even though that would have killed the pass to the intended recipient.

If the opposition did it, it would be our free (even if it was an accident)
The umpire does it and its play on to their advantage. (despite it being an accident)
A big swing in outcome from basically the same incident.

There should be some scope for common sense, surely.

It's not a question of common sense if the rules don't allow it. It was like the old days where an umpire who went early with a whistle to pay a mark would end up with egg on his face if the player dropped it. The mark couldn't be recalled. They changed the rule to allow the umpire to call play on. That's a common sense result but it couldn't be done under the old rules.

Better than the other game. It's 4 goals to 3 and the 3 is winning.

Great to see us dominate in the 3rd quarter. Fox Footy ran a stat showing how poorly we've done in the 3rd quarter so far this year. Apparently our percentage for total points for vs points against was only around 36%!

Our % for that quarter was 346.2%

Should help balance that out a bit.
