I agree. But I wonder what Bolton thinks ?
Its Crippa that would need to be reigned in I reckon.

2019-16th
2020-dare to dream? 11th is better than last I suppose
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time

One thing I noticed about our blokes, they hang on to the ball too long and dont go quick by hand or foot with the first option. Then end up getting caught too often. Link players are getting into position but we arent using them.

a. Lacking experience,
b. lacking synergy,
c. lacking a quick thinking footy brain

Hopefully a or b.

No doubt. No player will ever admit they need a rest, and especially not the acting captain. You need strength from the coaches etc. to tell him to take some time off. Cripps himself will never do it.

You missed a few factors.

D. lack of confidence that you belong makes you hesitant.
E. A combination of all factors resulting in hanging onto the ball too long at times.

There's a lot going on during a footy game.  I noticed us hunting the ball carrier often meaning that we left an option down field to apply pressure which actually gave them a free man ahead of the ball which they used frequently.

Samo - a lot more mongrel in his game this week.  He was very timid early in the season, but has been gradually building intensity and effort the last few weeks.  Maybe it is simply 2nd year blues for him.  It wouldn't have a name if it wasn't such a common problem.
Just watched the first qtr, unless Im mistaken, dont think he touched the footy.

I noticed that too.

I think it's not gelling as a team as yet - they're unsure who to give it off too.  Very annoying to watch us work hard to get it, then second guess and get caught.

Im into the 2nd qtr now, some passages of play by us were brilliant only to be let down by a spilled mark of fumble. Also not converting with easy shots at goal despite dominating I50 count. Shame.

If Menagola doesn't get a holiday I'll be pi#$ed. If Scott or Danger contaminate the process again I'll spew >:(

Not only did he push his head into the ground, repeatedly, he appeared to lay the boot into him as well.

Funny how they chose NOT to replay the 'bad' angle and showed the other side which had 5 blokes blocking view of what occurred.

I actually thought there was a lot to like about our performance, especially effort/intensity. It was only inexperience and tired young bodies that prevented us winning.

Scott's comment that his defenders effectively helped us with brain fades, was very disingenuous. I thought our pressure forced them into error. If we'd held our marks up forward, and were a little cleaner we would have kicked a lot more goals. Only inexperience prevented us kicking an impressive score... we held Scott's Sooky Sooky La La's to a losing score.

Not sure that match day tactics is BBs forte. Better support?

Wrapped to see Plowman's return to form. Terrific game.

Weitering was solid, looked at home and not out of place like early in the year and last year.

Jones got it right and was really good.

Cuningham is fortunate he was on the end of some good work and kicked a goal. I still have serious doubts about whether this bloke will make it, just goes missing too often and makes dreadful mistakes when there's heat close by.

SPS, after a sluggish start was hard at it and backed himself at times - good to see.

O'Brien needs some VFL time. Future gun, though.

Dow, wow, really good stuff. Wish we could cram 50 games into him.

Crippa and Ed were rippers.

Kerr looks like a natural forward... liked what we saw.

Lamb, McKay and Cuningham were our only passengers, though we did see some glimpses from H... but he just seems clueless at times!

A lot more positives than negatives.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17
