If it wasn't for the fact that it's Essendon the game wouldn't really mean much. but it would be great to send them into the finals with a negative result.
It would be nice to think our players would feel the same but it's hard to know whether they feel the rivalry as much as the supporters do. A lot of the reason for the hatred of things black and red stems from before this playing list was assembled. It's been a long year, players will be looking forward to the rest ,and the selections shouldn't make much of a difference. One game for players like Holman, Johnson,and Graham isn't going to make or break them.They've all had a bit of a taste this year There will be plenty of time for lessons and opportunities in 2015.
