Simmo described Fish as "the best bloke I ever played with" on his twitter account. I think Fish lives in Adelaide or SA these days

Even though Dusty will likely win tonight, I still prefer Danger and would choose him for the CFC if I had a choice.

Either would make me happy, they both take games by the scruff of the neck and win them for you. Maybe Dusty because he is slightly younger.

To me, Danger seems more of a pure footballer. But i certainly wouldn't complain if Dusty came to us.

If dusty was wearing Carlton colours most of his don't argues would be free kicks for head high contact.

On that basis I'd rather danger.

Howe didn't get MOTY?  :o

Oooooh, he and his missus looked filthy. And I don't blame them.  Please don't tell me Darcy is still on the voting panel.

Jeremy Howe takes one of those every week.

He didn't look too impressed when they announced it.

He can join Andrew Walker on the "Robbed Table".

The giant slayer picking up a couple of votes. Might just have career high votes in his handful of games.
Congratulations Jonesy.

Is it just me, or did anyone else think it weird that they didn't declare Dustin at the end of round 21??

Normally they call it as soon as the contest is over....

McAvaney monstored Martin over the last few rounds.
Made him look most uncomfortable.

Could be worth a rookie pick ;D

For a stride or two there I thought that Bruce was going to start humping his leg.

Dis anyone notice at the end of the Prelim final against GWS where Dusty and Stevie J had words.
At the end of the game where everyone were shaking hands SJ went to shake Dustin's hand but Dusty looked elsewhere and avoided it. Steve said something then.
Then when the guard of honour for Stevie's walk off he again had what seemed to be aggressive words to Dusty who just pointed to the score board and laughed at SJ.
Must be a little more going with those two I think.

Geez last night highlighted just how political has the AFL become? Think Sam Newman had a point!

The count should be about showcasing the best players of the year and that alone and in that case could be done comfortably in 90-120 mins but they drag it on and on with all the BS segments in between every round.

I used to really enjoy the brownlow but like many things about the AFL these days reckon they have ruined it.

The AFL is morphing into show business (and bloody big business at that) rather than sport. Razzamatazz is everything!

... and puts the medal around the winner's neck (similar to the previous winner presenting the green jacket to the winner of the US Open (?)).

Come to think of it, that might be a bit unfair.  Imagine if Danger hadn't been suspended and was in the lead in the last round only to be pipped at the last second.  Then he would have had to affix a nice smile and hand over the medal he almost won ... brutal.

What if a player goes back to back, does he present the medal to himself? ;D
