Willi won by 5 pts... we did hit the front in the final qtr but just couldn't hang on. Entertaining game with some positives for our AFL listed boys. Liam McMahon 4 gls. Binns, Cowan and Young very good. Mirkov dominated the rucks with 44 hit outs. Liked Billy Wilsons game also.

Very ordinary free kick to give Willi the game.

Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

What's with umpire's this year deciding games, now in both comps.

Liked how Cowans was so influential in the midfield when he went there.

Just turned on to see that we lost after the damned siren. That's the third time this year we've lost heartbreakers!
Binns: 28 disposals: must play AFL next week.
Cowan : 21 possessions - came home well.

Binns and Cowan would be the likely senior ins from that game along with Lewis Young if Weitering doesnt come up or is iffy.
Couple of old friends playing for Willi in Parks and Polson.....
Bit surprised a few clubs havent looked at ex GWS player Downie as a backup ruckman, can take a mark and has some know how.
Liam Mcmahon continues to show his talent and ex GC VFL Full forward in Brodie Mclaughlin is a player I think could make it as a senior AFL footballer, plays a bit like Georgiades from Port and is a nice kick for goal.
Pity Ramshaw doesnt have a bit more pace as he can get the footy and be damaging.

Cowan did what he needs to, dropped back and looked a cut above

Billy Wilson's pace is impressive.  I'd look at him over Williams for whatever role Williams is supposed to be doing.
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?

Good game - Binns continues to be a machine. He has been outworking all his opponents for 18 months

Ned Cahill: 1 goal 5 behinds. :(
Tom Phillips: 12 disposals - not enough from one of our few experienced players. Not doing what we really need him to do.

Harry Lemmey: 8 disposals and 1 goal :( :(

When looking down the stats for Williamstown, noticed a Harrison Minton-Connell. Sounds like he is the son of Simon who played for the Blues.    Simon Minton-Connell was a talented forward who played at four VFL/AFL clubs.    Wikipedia provides an interesting account of his football career: -
