Post Game Participation: AFL Rd 6: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs

We are not favourites to win, but it will be interesting to see who deals better with the wet.

I know we've yet to strike the level of consistency of top teams, but THAT was a top performance.

Congratulations to all. Not many passengers. Not much from injured Crippa, and thats what we can do. In the wet, while relocating at the last minute, to boot. Who'd have thought winning a home game at MS. Led for first bounce to final siren 🥳

Oh and as for the glow worms.... 12 - 20 frees. No problem.

Fun fact.

This is the first time we've been in the 8 since Bombers got booted from it and let us in it thanks to the drugs saga.

Ill just bow my head in shame for losing faith. Everyone player I had a crack at did something. As a team, 4 solid quarters. That is the bench mark kids.
2017-16th
2018-Wooden Spoon
2019-16th
2020-dare to dream? 11th is better than last I suppose
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time

OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED? 4 Quarters of switched-on football. We actually looked like we couldn't lose it.
Could not find one bad contributor. All around our best performance since last years win against St Kilda.
Need to calm down

Port next week. If we can back it up, that will be beyond massive.

Much like the Geelong game (1st three qtrs), if Carlton plays like the way they did tonight, they can beat anyone in the comp. I heard Teague say that Jack Russell is training them to be able to play every 5 days. You cant complain about their effort, its just being able to sustain it for 4 qtrs every week.

Another fun fact....
Its been 5790 days since the bombers won a final.
I'm tipping THAT is a record.....and a far worse one IMO.

I'd prefer to see a few games like this before being convinced. Given last year's game and this game, it's not unreasonable to at least speculate that we may simply be the Doggies bogey team.

This is the sort of win that makes 'hub living' worthwhile. A great time to be around each other.

Let's put this win in perspective. Dogs last three games:

Earliest game first:

Beat GWS by 24
Beat Swans by 28
Beat North by 49.
Finals, then 4 in a row!
