That was terrible by Rowe against palmer. No second effort at all. Just stood there watching him.

Always happens when the Coach gives you a rap and the paper writes an article about you.

Reminds me of the three amigos double page spread a few years ago. They couldn't function after that.

Patton is bigger stronger and a terrific mark.

I have been super critical of Rowes ability. But I have to give credit where it is due and he has made improvement over the past 7 weeks. BUT, he's still tentative, and I still worry, no panic when he's got the ball in a competitive situation.

Henderson is scared, that's the best I can say about him. I know that there were three blokes who could have tackled then, but he held back and made no attempt to tackle. He's a weak woman's genitalia. And they get another goal.

There is simply no pressure out there at present. The game is too free-flowing.

If we pressure the ball carriers, they don't get that easy kick to the leading forwards which gives our backmen no chance.

Man up, tackle, block, chase, corral and stop the run. Then our bigger midfield bodies will help us get over the line.

See how easy that passage was? Why was that? We had no pressure on us so we could run through Yazz and Simmo and picked Waite out with 5m gap.

All because no pressure through the midfield.

Of course we missed the kick, but it shows how good a team can look when there is no pressure on them. Which is why GWS have looked so good thus far.

Patton is not killing Rowe. The midfield is giving Rowe no choice.

I think Patton threw off Rowe on one occasion. The rest is elite delivery that SOS himself couldn't stop.

Living proof that this club is in the biggest crisis of its history and is fast being irrelevant.  Nothing on the field.... bottom 4 at best, nothing in the twos, almost no decent juniors, recruiting and development a mess, a dysfunctional administration/board... seriously, why would anybody want anything to do with this club... refuses to acknowledge where it's at and zero attempt at rectifying things.

For example....Why weren't a swag of kids played this game?  Why do we continue with the same group that is taking us backwards???

Taken 5 contested marks against Rowe already. Even the commentators who are usually useless, well Dwayne Russel is, anyway, can see it and question why Jammo hasn't been moved onto him. You must be watching a different game.

And he didn't throw him off the ball, he out bodied Rowe, just like Hawkins did when we played Geelong.

Take off the Carlton glasses and try and look at the game in an unbiased manner.

We have NO leaders to lift us.

Not even one.

Pray the afl change the history and allow us another few cups.  Can't see another one for decades.

So obvious the better teams like Geelong and hawks in recent weeks play with us.

They do what they need to win and we walk away thinking we aren't far away.

We are mile off a top 8 team let alone top 4.

Gone backwards.

Couldn't agree more. I have been watching them for 60 years, and have seen all the lows, but there was always a reason for those lows. E.G. the punishing fines and ;lost draft picks coz of the salary cap rorting. But this is a team that do not have the mental capacity to perform for 100 minutes every weak no matter who the opponents are.

Cachia or Curnow should be playing a first tagger, not Carazzo.

I'd drop Walker for Johnson and Waite is bloody lucky we don't have any junior forwards to bring in because he taking match payments under false pretences right now.

FYI, 'threw him off the ball' is the ultimate 'out bodying' so i'm paying him a big compliment. Yes, Rowe was also outbodied by Hawkins previously, which i admitted to as well. No Carlton bias there.

Question...name 1 player who wouldn't be outbodied by those 2. They are the best big forwards going around and its not a career killer to lose a contest or 2 against them.

FWIW, Patton has only taken 4 contested marks, so having 5 against Rowe is showing your bias by exaggerating.

Going back to what i said previously, when there is no pressure on the midfield, any forward will look a million bucks against any defender.
Just like a minute later when we ran through the guts unchallenged and found Waite as easy as any training drill.

Pressure the mids and our team will look like a million bucks.

We aren't any good, but we do have the players out on the field today, who have the ability if they were to put in, to win this game.

What will kill us, is Walker's turnovers, Waite can't kick a goal, Hendo having a cup of tea and enjoying the sunshine, Simmo who has lost form over the last few weeks, Touhey who is in and out and doesn't do enough, Casboult who is also enjoying the Sunshine and playing with his beard, Yarran who comes on in spurts Everrit who doesn't do enough......that'l do.

Make up all the excuses you want, Rowe is getting killed by Patton who is 10 classes above him as a player and always will be.

Rowe won that contest...but that will go unnoticed.
I know who I would love in my team and it's not Rowe.

Oh gee, you want a #1 pick in your team rather than a 3rd round mature age pick recovering from testicular cancer. Stop the presses!  ::)

SO WOULD I!

I understand that, but you are making excuses for Rowe who is being outplayed 90% of the time when he and patton are one on one..
He is not the reason we are losing though.

Good work by Rowe again to clear the space for Yarran to mark.

Again, would go unnoticed by the majority.

Point is, he is not as bad as you make out, he has been outbodied, sure, who wouldn't be.
Has he been terrible? Hardly, midfield has made his job nigh on impossible for most of it.

Lifting the pressure in red time and kick 2 quick ones.

8 points in it now, 2 mins left in the 3rd.

Hardly game over.

Same old mistakes and same old half rat power effort from the same group of spuds.

screw off Walker, I'm over your insipid "efforts" in defence... if you don't give a crap, then fine, screw off and play for somebody else we don't need your errors and mistake every weak.  Not a senior players rat hole...

You might as well schedule him in your AA team Kruds. You're pumping his tyres something chronic.

He's doing pretty well, and I'm becoming a fan of him, but take it easy mate. :P

The positive is that we will get a pick in the first 3 this year.  Also, we only have 9 rounds left of this rubbish - and that's what it is - before Mick can rid the club of some of the dead wood and boat anchors to progress.

As I have said before, we pay these weak pr!cks wages, either through our memberships, or by supporting the sponsors purchasing their products so that they will continue with their sponsorship. And this is the cr@p they serve up.

Just pointing out all the little things he does that goes unnoticed. ;)

How well did Patton go that quarter may i ask? ;)

Midfield pressure makes it a 50-50 contest, without that, backmen are just witches hats, Rowe or SOS, Patton would flog whoever was playing on him without midfield pressure.

Hopefully the inclusion of Army makes us a little more accountable.

Some have been excellent, very little has been shocking.

Your love for Patton today suggests you have missed most of what he does.

....and i want us to trade for Patton so i've got nothing against him, just think you are being very harsh on Rowe today.

Tell you what. We will be getting rid of a lot of players. 8-10, Inclusive of anyone who can't tackle. Our recruiters will be listening to all overs. All. No one is safe. Delistings. Trades. Sackings. Retirings. Off season is gonna be interesting. I just hope we build a young list and not do a job like Richmond.

I can handle getting beaten, but not due to effort. Pathetic.
