Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Rd 17 2023 Post Game Prognostications Carlton vs Fremantle
I was very impressed,  especially early when the game was there to be won, with the slick, in close, ball movement.  Seemed to position well for the receive but importantly they spotted targets and most often hit them.
Often we seem to do the inside flick around as a defensive/panic move but today they seemed to use it to attack.

But we've been doing this crap for almost two decades, and just last weekend multiple times we sat the pill on Motlop's or Durdin's head, not that it helps if Motlop isn't moving because you basically have to pick him out.

I have noticed way too many times players putting the ball  on the head of one of the smaller players - giving them little or no chance - at the end of the day this is simply a wasted inside 50. I have often wondered when a player going forward looks up and sees only a Motlop or a Durdin if they would not create a better contest by skidding it along the ground and give the much smaller player a chance to contest at ground level rather than in the air.

Blah-Blah Bar / Re: Weiters scammed
No matter how sophisticated the scam was, I would like to think if my bank told me to move money out of one of their accounts as it wasn't safe the alarm bells would be ringing. Maybe a move for an offer of better interest rates or loan adjustments etc but to tell me to drip feed, to the daily max, my money into another account seems very suss.
Seems unlikely that a bank would say their accounts are not safe. What,  left the safe unlocked...
And in the extreme there was a banking issue like a high level hack, the press would be all over it and moving it around, again on a daily basis, seems odd.
Really feel for the guy, and all victims,  but he must be feeling a bit silly, largely because he was.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Rd 5 2023 Pre Game Prognostications Carlton vs Adelaide in Adelaide
Jeremy's collision with the umpire was 100% accidental, and he borderline gave the bloke a hug afterwards.
I'd say that close to all collisions with an umpire are accidental. Far easier and more excusable to make a mistake while navigating a stoppage and 10+ players than to recklessly strut around the ground grandstanding to the crowd and not having the smarts to see there is an umpire in the way. Based on careless and force I'd say he should have got weeks. What if he had actually injured the umpire...
Sure it looked a bit comical and they were 'mates' afterwards but too bad I say.

Enjoying the banter... but I guess the lack of answers indicates that nobody knows when the next bit of the fixture is to be released. Hoping to organize a trip to Qld but dont want to miss that game (regardless of my risk of serious disease).

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Carlton Fixture
Does anyone know when the AFL plans to release the details of the next chunk of games, ie rounds 10 and onwards. I am particularly keen to know the details of the round 11 clash with Collingwood (27 - 29 May weekend)

I tried to do the same thing the other week, only for my Google calendar,  alas no luck.
Only yesterday I manually entered in rounds 1 to 9 as I didn't see another alternative.
