We've gone small on a dry sunny day so hopefully our speed will shine through.

Let's go Blues!!!

10 inside 50s to 2
They dam will break if that much pressure is maintained.

Tuck subbed in.
Carlton need a couple of steadying goals here. If they finish this quarter within a goal or two or even have a lead then we will have done well.

Inside 50s now 12-4

We need to close the Tigers down, it's too open at the moment.

Yeap, we could very easily be at least 5 goals down at the moment, absolutely no doubt about it.
In fact if we were I would probably still say the scoreline flatters us.

Umpiring is pathetic...another 50m to give them another goal. that's 2 to the Tigers from 2 fifty m penailties. Undisciplined from us but so soft from umps.

Don't believe it...another free against us for in the back. We are handing it to them on a platter  >:(

nothing see here, its what we've known for the last half a season, soft undisciplined and dumb

Two 50s which gift goals, do the umpires realise this is a final?
Now a third shot, to make 3 goals from free kicks.
And now Edwards takes another mark, 5th for the quarter.

26 points... I don't see a way back, without an incredible change in momentum

Now we can't even be bothered defending ...... Pack your bags Blues coz you don't deserve to be playing finals footy!

Are we adverse to tackling? Why run around Martin when you can tackle him?
Title: Re: Elimination Final: Blues v Tigers (In Game Thread)
Post by: crashlander on September 08, 2013, 04:12:20 pm
One look at yesterday's game shows the intensity of the other finalists. We simply do not have it. Not enough players want to be out there.
Injured players: we've played 2 in Scotland and Judd and neither is close to making a contribution as yet.
Title: Re: Elimination Final: Blues v Tigers (In Game Thread)
Post by: crashlander on September 08, 2013, 04:14:19 pm
I shouldn't let my anger and frustration show, but we simply don't have the WILL to win at the moment. Too many guys just running around, playing a game.

Can the umps find any more 50m penalties against us! And I fully expect the umps to NOT even it up in the second half  >:D

we've gone from being a team that couldn't defend, but could attack with abandon, to a team that still can't defend, and now can't attack either.

Thanks for nothing Mick.

What an utter disgrace umpires. The Waite tackle was a definite holding the ball and then Eddie gets push around, held on to and pushed down in the goal square but gets zilch form the umps!
Title: Re: Elimination Final: Blues v Tigers (In Game Thread)
Post by: flyboy77 on September 08, 2013, 04:28:55 pm
the difference is dumb mistakes + woeful umpiring.

Bad umpiring decisions aren't the reason for our plight. I am very, very worried about MM as our coach. There is zero system. Zero!
Title: Re: Elimination Final: Blues v Tigers (In Game Thread)

Bell really doesn't have much awareness when he has the ball in his hand.

We are not out of this, its simple, we need to get our hands on the ball

I think I need a new remote after that non decision with Waite. It got thrown.

Post by: IvanAwfulbigone on September 08, 2013, 04:38:42 pm
Well, the umps had to spoil at least one of the 4 finals games.
Being human, that's about their average. Typical that it was our game/chance.

I see we've had the "Luke Hodge Memorial" incorrect disposal decision. And ... FMD if Judd doesn't spend 80 minutes of every game with someone holding on off the ball yet someone grabs Cotchin and it's 50.

Before today they have had 13 50 metre penalties all year and they just received 3 for 3 goals.

Am relaxing now. Low expectations have been reached.
Title: Re: Elimination Final: Blues v Tigers (In Game Thread)
Post by: WaitesKreuzin on September 08, 2013, 04:39:06 pm
The players really need to step up in the second half. It would certainly help if the umpires were consistent in their decision making and umpired in the manner the pervious 3 finals have been.

Irrespective of the umpiring, we are losing this ourselves. We are panicking with the ball and turning it over in our back half way to much. Then we are bombing it long to our forward line and hoping for the best!

This is a final FFS and no-one is putting there hand up. Yarran could have his papers stamped after today if he doesn't lift.

Where is Yarran supposed to be playing? Saw him running the ball out of our back half once. That's where he plays well.

Hmmm... linking up with handball, looking for targets and sometimes playing through the middle. Opposite game style to the first half.... why was this not the game plan from the start of the game???????? Of course getting our hands on it first from stoppages helps.
