Nobody else watching today?

Crows first goal. We've had 2 that have hit the post.

Hopefully we can kick it straight today as if we are any chance of making finals, % will help.

M Crouch - 13
Scholl - 11
GIBBS - 10
Lynch - 9
B Crouch -6
Keays - 6

Walsh - 6

We simply can't get our hands on the ball

Don't bet on it. It is bound to bite us on the clacker sooner or later... giving big starts and expecting to come back. Today just might be that day.

What a pathetic opening, against a poor side in good form. The Gibbs audition to be rookied is going well.

We will start to get our hands on the ball and we shall go from there.

Giving us every indication at the moment that they have no interest in this season.
Just before that last goal the defenders were just jogging back to position.
No intensity
No pressure.
A good lesson would be for one of these 'come from behind' wins to not pay off big time.

Expect much better from here on in.
But finals would be an embarrassment at the moment.

Our psychological softness is on display for all and sundry.

And I have no doubt the players also thought, "We'll come back, we always do..." However, the Crows have worked out that if you apply constant fierce pressure to this mob, they go to water.... as they always have.

This midfield is crippling our defense

I was going to say its time to do the old swap our forwards and backs. But our backs are actually ok, its all on our midfield!

They can't find a teammate, especially inside 50. Given our forwards no chance, and putting our back under an excessive amount of pressure.

Should've rested Cripps, he's given us nothing.

His form is crap, but he got injured weeks ago. It was highlighted. He had a bad corkie.
He played and got hurt again.....played again.

There is no doubt he is/was injured.

If you were unaware of it, so be it.

I understand the want to play him, even if injured, but his form while injured doesn't warrant selection. So he shouldn't be picked.

There is no doubt he is/was injured.

If you were unaware of it, so be it.

I understand the want to play him, even if injured, but his form while injured doesn't warrant selection. So he shouldn't be picked.

Still excuses mate. If he plays his deemed as fit.
Sick of giving him an out.

His our captain we are playing to keep our finals chance alive against the bottom team and he is unsighted.
Not good enough for such a star player let alone our captain!!!

It's a fair point IMO. September 3rd, 8th and today (13th). It's a lot of footy, coming at the end of the season.

That's an all time low for the season.
Anyone playing for a new contract should be very worried.

Our unique 1q "no show" game style has just become a 2q "no show" style.

Our schedule has been the same as all other teams. That's not an excuse for me. Particularly as this us a PATTERN, it's not an occasional dip in performance. I acknowledge the WA, SA, QLD sides have had a significant advantage this year though.

I have no confidence we'll show up q3 or q4

Dr Teagues presser will be interesting. I don’t want to hear Mr nice guy say “we just needed to play the game in our half”

I’m putting this down to the 3 games in a few days.

DEVELOPMENT COACH is a priority. How can our top 10 picks be so bad....

.
They just interviewed Teague. Said we are getting smashed in the contest.
That may be true, but its what we are doing with the ball in hand that bothers me the most

The thing about our schedule is, we had a good one, relatively.

The worst part of our schedule just happened to coincide with our must win games. We had a bad patch at the wrong time and didn't have enough time to turn it around.

Why limit it to those 2?

They have got about 6 intercepts between them so far.

Everyone is shanking the ball.

Plowman has kicked 1 drop punt so far and it was from full back and hit the other team on the chest 45m out straight in front.

Whenever they're under no pressure those two can go ok. But every time they get under pressure they implode mentally.

Watching Plowman is like a recurring nightmare. You know what's about to happen but it's still horrifying.

Great contested mark by Plowman who read the play nicely.

Started the chain which lead to a Cripps shot on goal....who of course misses.

Plowman set that up through nothing other than skill and ability.

Give the bloke some credit.

Plowmans handball between 2 players cost on defensive 50. Cost us a set shot.

Kick into the middle hospital pass to Casboult who was just good enough to hold it.

Why doesn’t Weiters take that?

Also I don’t gaf who mcg is mates with, he should not be playing. We have an opportunity at the end there to push for goal and his effort was absolutely insipid, as has his entire day.

Takes too long for players to be switched on. How humiliating it will be to lose to bottom of the ladder. No. Not like 1995 when we lost to St Kilda and Sydney on bottom of the ladder. We won a flag back then. You can’t give any side a 43 point lead. Not ever. Especially the side sitting on the bottom.

Oh so if the commentators said it that must be true then. The fact is if the handball was to a team mate and not grass we were away. It's mistake after mistake after mistake. Small ones like that, bigger ones also. He does some good bits but the bar has to be set higher. We can't cover more than 1 or 2 small mistakes a game.
