Vale Alex Auchurrio

Former Bullant Alex Aurrichio died last night after being hit by a car whilst cycling.

I seem to recall that he played with a bit of vim and vigor ?
Maybe Crash, Baggers or RiverRat can elaborate further on his play.

Let’s go BIG !

Thanks Paul, I couldn’t find a link to post that wasn’t paywalled.
The area adjacent to the accident location is a network of mtb tracks in a rural area, and being just after sunset he may have been returning to his car or just commuting back home.
As a cyclist myself, it’s the nightmare scenario of being hit from behind.
The driver remained at the scene apparently.

Good to see that the driver did the honourable thing.

Aurrichio certainly seemed very keen to play footy anywhere at any level. I saw his name connected to South Adelaide, NB's, Southport.

And so far away from home.

Sheesh, really sadenned to read that.

Yep, he had some go in him and ability, that's for sure. CRASH and RR would certainly be able to give more info on his history.

So sad.
