Voting for the Jim Park Medal: Rd 7: Carlton lost to Collingwood

Couldn't really say I enjoyed last night's game. But the last quarter showed we are not diabolical. But 4 quarters are what we need to win.

Hopefully you people feel that the performance was worth voting for, as a lot of people didn't contribute against Essendon and Melbourne. The efforts were too bad for them to vote. Yesterday we were not great, but we did keep going.

Remember:
[1] At least 3 players need to get a mention.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player.
[3] Give a rating of team performance
[4] Votes must add up to 15.
Enjoy!

If not for the last quarter it would have been much lower. The first quarter wasn’t too bad. But I simply cannot justify anything higher considering how we played for the majority of the night.

Votes;
[2]   Walker
[2]   White
[1.5]   Simpson
[1.5]   Rowe
[1.5]   Murphy
[1.5]   Buckley
[1]   Robinson
[1]   Casboult
[1]   Warnock
[1]   Everitt
[1]   Tuohy

Explanations:
[2]   Walker:      Gave us a fair bit of drive from defence and also kept his various opponents quiet.
[2]   White      For the 2nd week in a row Simon White played a fine game and really gave his man nothing while providing a fair bit of drive himself. Very sure ball handling. Much improved effort.
[1.5]   Simpson   Simmo was very ordinary in the first half, but he really rose after half time.
[1.5]   Rowe      While Cloke managed a few kicks on him, he did manage control him and really pound Witts when he minded the ruckmen. Very good spoiling and competitiveness from someone I didn’t think could do the job.
[1.5]   Murphy      Not his best game, but solid. He still managed a fair bit of the ball while being consistently held.
[1.5]   Buckley      Real dash and daring from defence. Good job in keeping his man down as well.
[1]   Robinson   Dynamic early and gave his all for 4 quarters.
[1]   Casboult   Some of his best marking tonight. On the improve.
[1]   Warnock   Beaten early, but fought back well and helped us to get our mojo later in the game.
[1]   Everitt      Looked very ordinary early, but lifted and was a real contributor after half time.
[1]   Tuohy      Zac’s best game for the year. A bit of the run was back, as was the ball getting.

Honourable Mentions:
Scotland   Not a huge night by his standards, but worked hard.
Jamison   Pretty good job, especially after his injury.
Docherty   Looked quite impressive in his first game for us. Will get better.
Bell      Huge display of guts and determination.
McLean      Broke tried, but tried hard.
