If we get up this will be another really solid win, more than people will give it credit for. McCartin, Membrey, Bruce and when Riewoldt is down there will be a big challenge for our backline.

Make sure the game is played mainly in our fwd half and we won't be too worried by the Saints forwards, they will have to worry about ours.

The way the saints are going at the moment (crows 68 - 14), we might have the confidence advantage too ;)

Hugh Goddard and Paddy McCartin both left the field in separate incidents, leaving the Saints down to two on the bench.

Goddard has suffered a suspected Achilles injury during the second quarter against Adelaide on Sunday.

Quote
The club’s evening went from bad to worse on the injury front late in the third term, when emerging star McCartin was also stretchered from the field.

McCartin clashed heads with teammate Jack Newnes, only to clash heads again with Adelaide’s Luke Brown when he rebounded off Newnes.

Bad news for them.
Good news for us.

And if the saints get done again, by Christ I couldn't care

I have yet to read the rest of the thread, so forgive me if I repeat...

I'd be keeping a close eye on Krooz, and whether he's in or out. Look so much better with him on the park, which is a blessing and a curse.

Apparently Riewoldt also doubtful for the Saints due to a knee injury sustained early in the game which he played out the game with.

From the match report...

INJURIES
Carlton: Gorringe (knee), Kreuzer (ill)

Both might be fine but we'll have to wait and see

After a sub standard 2nd half against the Lions, I reckon Bolts might just get them fired up for our biggest win of the season so far against the 'Aints! Wouldn't that be nice?!!

I'd actually prefer it if they went in with the 4 big blokes... not sure that is working too well for them. Great if it comes off, but they seem to get smashed if it doesn't. Riewoldt out would be good.

Apparently Phillips had a strong game in the VFL, and it will be interesting to see how he goes doing the #1 ruck duties solo.

I think this will be a tighter match than we think, but I reckon we'll get the chocolates in this one.
