Umpires inconsistent. Effort lacking. Prime movers well covered. We lost a lot of momentum when Harry missed that easy shot. Not a great day at the office from a lot of players.
Many found wanting tonight, but the main concerns will be Weitering.... and Walsh
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he's hurt that back again. There was definitely something wrong, and it wasn't just after that heavy bump near the end
I don't think they're in the same league. Not even close. And we have a much easier task getting rid of those that don't measure up (if their party doesn't get them first.)
The situation in America is that both Biden and Trump are in with a chance. And the only reason they're in with a chance... is because of who they're running against.
These guys are a big problem to build and maintain team cohesion - club keeps talking about connection between the lines well we have starting 23players that don't play on decent pay packets. Need to move them on and bring players where the team can build cohesion between the lines. More Acres, E Hollands, Fogarty types...
Yep. Unbelievable How on earth are we supposed to develop a structure, understanding, and a team approach, with these changes and unavailability.
I suspect there are players in the side carrying injuries and playing on despite them. But it's the 'leg' ones that cruel us. You can play with one shoulder like Acres did at the end of last year...but calves, knees, hamstrings, toes, and you're off for a spell. And it's these injuries our serial 'victims' seem to attract,
I think in the last couple of years we have been honest.
Better perhaps, but if they are being honest they actually are saying they have no idea how long he will be out....

While getting smashed in the clearances, struggling to take a mark around the ground and having our key forwards double-teamed 🤔
That's the point isn't it. Same as it's always been.... It's never a case of one setup gives you a greater advantage every occasion. That comes down to individual circumstances, strengths and weaknesses and match-ups in individual games.
In these situations you will gain in one area but you will lose in another. That's the balance that the coaches have to determine.
I missed the game. I'd just like folks opinions.... Walsh racks up possessions and it's noticable. He's everywhere. He's influencing the game.
One of the things I've noticed watching VFL games when Binns is involved is... that I don't 'notice' him. It surprises me when I look up the stat sheet at the end of the game and see he's had it so many times.
I'm guessing part of that is the coverage of games with less camera angles and the commentators not always calling the player in possession on long shots.
Was Binns 'noticable' last night? Did he have a big influence on the game.
Just on Ollie Hollands, caught a couple of times last night...he's only in his second season, still young , still very slight, and still probably adjusting to the speed of the game. When he gets a bit more experience and a bit more bulk (he may never be super big, but he can add a bit of muscle and strength) he'll be a valuable long term player for us.
