He put in some hard work for the boys in Ireland. Zackery was terrific.

That game forced him to do the hard stuff, couldn't just use his run with that stupid round ball.

Seems Mick did the right thing...who would've thought!
Carrots??? Carrrots where are youuuuuuuu :P :-*

OMG you guys must be seriously dumb to even suggest those comments mean anything. LMAO he was asked the question, can you imagine if he'd come out and said "Yeah fk Mick he's an absolute tosswad knows nothing about player management". Towing the party line.

@Townsend

Great post and pretty close to the mark IMO.

Lets look at the facts.

1. Mick is a premiership coach.
2. Yarran is still a Carlton player
3. Both Yarran and Mick have said there was an issue, its been resolved and we move on. No harm no foul.

Alternatively...
1. Carrots disliked what Mick said.

Hmmm...I'm happy with my position. ;)

Yarran wasn't offered for a trade (as far as I knew) as most of us suspected during the season. Mick knows he has something special. Chris knows he can bring it on. Mick has kept some weird players in the past that deliver when needed. Heck he turned Daisy soft c0ck into a genuine contributor over time.

I expected Yarran and Garlett to be moved on and Betts to be a keeper. I definitely got that one wrong, but I'm not a premiership coach either. One that has played for a chance of a flag, a few times. Casboult wasn't offered for trade either. Mick appears to be dropping from the bottom to balance the squad. not just looking for world beaters and losing other A-grade type players. Ignore Betts, he jumped over board for free. We haven't lost any other good players. That must mean something. Building over time.

Chris, just be a great A-grader. That's all we ask for. Not too much, is it ? ;D
This digital world is too much for us insects to understand.

So those of us who believe Yazz's comments were sincere are seriously dumb. Sorry, Turnips, wrong.

Why? Because his efforts after his 'slump' spoke volumes of a young man wanting to improve and learn. He threw the dummy away and adapted... time for you to do the same.

It's not totally unbelievable the story but far from a sure thing hence the comments aimed at Tex and kruddler who were just looking to score a few points anyway. So don't take it personally Baggers old chum! :D

why would you trade a genuine match winner?

I'd rather trade Gibbs tbh.
Finals, then 4 in a row!

Which games has he single-handedly won for us ??

Perhaps a quarter!

But with Yarran I am not sure that he can be judged on his past, he is one player who has potential a plenty.

So what do we do, roll the dice and see if he can live up to it, or trade him now before he shots that potential in the foot?

Chris can say he'll wear the sub vest then dance around the boundary line with a set of moraccas if he likes but his attitude was poor significantly more often than it was good after getting dropped. So until we see results on the field, I won't be too interested in hearing how great things are going attitude wise and how he is now Doctor Positive.
