Robert Heatley Stand / Kick Ranking - Champion Data
Read an article about champion data's kick ranking. Simplistically its the difference between expected hits and actual. Carlton boasts the most quality kickers in the game right now with 6 in the top 50.
Our higher ranked is Zac Fisher
Our Lowest ranked is Captain Cripps.
Quirky but interesting. Poor Kicking has always been a bug bear of mine, perhaps we are on the road to fixing it.

Blah-Blah Bar / Eddie's Fight Against Racism in Australia
As many others were, I was deeply moved by Eddie's words on Fox Footy last night, I was brought to tears in fact. He ask for our help, so lets help.
I want to do something about It and I am sure many on here would like to help also. It seems the worst environments for this abhorrent behaviour is online, guess what? We are online. There are many very intelligent people on this site, we cannot stand by and ignore Eddie and his people. What can we do? I sent Eddie a DM via instagram this morning telling him I want to help. I gave him my contact details and in the mean time, I pledged to him and all Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people that I would call out racism in any environment I find myself in and will report it.
Nuffs enuff people, we cannot stand by and do nothing.
Any ideas?

Robert Heatley Stand / The Defence
Some damning vision on Fox the other night, Doc and Jonesy not doing the basics. It's good to play high scoring footy but the defensive structures need to be able to support that and the defenders need to be switched on.

Premierships are built of rock solid defences, we need to address this pronto.

Ladies Lounge / Harris at Odds over Contract Talks
The first few paragraphs from the article are interesting.

AFLW: Carlton and star Tayla Harris at odds over $150,000 asking price
Tayla Harris is the most marketable player in the AFLW but the Blues have their concerns. Will a looming pay stoush leave her looking for a new home?
A pay stoush between Tayla Harris and Carlton could lead to the AFLW pin-up player looking for a new club.

Harris is asking for about $150,000 to play in the 2022 season, which would make her one of the highest-paid players in the sport.

She is a Tier 2 player which means she is paid about $25,000 to play football and the remainder would come from marketing and employment roles at the club.

Harris, 24, was believed to have earned about $80,000 this year, and the Blues are baulking at her new asking price.

Separately, the Blues are also privately questioning her dedication to football and whether she is a good fit for the team.

Coming off her worst season as a player — she finished outside the top 15 in the club best-and-fairest — the Blues were disappointed with her standards in preparation and commitment.

At one session during the past season, Harris walked off the training track — without telling any of her coaches — to post on her Instagram page.

That act drew the ire of her teammates.

She did not play the next game. The club listed her as “managed’’.

She was also late to several training sessions and arrived at the start of pre-season unfit.

Harris’ manager Alex Saundry rejected the suggestion Harris was unprofessional in 2021 and said her star client wanted to stay at Carlton.

“She absolutely wants to be at Carlton, she remains 100 per cent committed to Carlton and I’m prepared for pretty robust dialogue between myself and the club over the next two to three weeks,” Saundry said.

“We have started negotiations.’’

She added: “I think she’s worth a significant amount. The commitment to Carlton and what she’s done over the past two years for the game locally, nationally and internationally carries a lot of weight.

“Has she carried that weight (this year)? No. Does she rely on her team around her? Yes, to help her through that.

Robert Heatley Stand / It aint over till its over - How the Blues can make the finals
From the HS

It won’t be easy, and they’ll need a bit of help along the way, but this how they can do it.

First things first, the Blues must win their last three games.

That’s a non-negotiable.

Their quest starts with a Round 16 meeting with Sydney, where they need to win by 30 points and hope the Giants beat the Crows by 29 points or less.

ROUND 16 SCENARIO – THE KEY GAMES
Geelong d Essendon

West Coast d Western Bulldogs

Fremantle d Melbourne

GWS Giants d Adelaide BY 29 POINTS OR LESS

Carlton d Sydney BY 30 POINTS

In Round 17, the Blues need a timely percentage boost.

They will get their chance when they face bottom-placed Adelaide.

The Blues have been struggling with their scoring power, but they must put the foot down against the Crows and hope the topsy-turvy Demons get over the Giants.

ROUND 17
Port Adelaide d Essendon

Melbourne d GWS Giants BY 10 POINTS

Carlton d Adelaide BY 40 POINTS

Hawthorn d Western Bulldogs

Under our scenario, it all comes down to the final round.

The Blues will face their toughest test up against the fancied Brisbane Lions in what will take a herculean effort

If they do it, and if other results fall into place, they’ll scrape into eighth.

ROUND 18
Carlton d Brisbane

Essendon d Melbourne

St Kilda d GWS Giants BY AT LEAST 7 POINTS

HOW THE LADDER WILL LOOK UNDER THIS SCENARIO
1. Port Adelaide

2. West Coast

3. Richmond

4. Geelong

5. Brisbane Lions

6. St Kilda

7. Collingwood

8. Carlton

Blah-Blah Bar / Media Street
This topic should fire up the oh so spotted one and I Iook forward to what he has to say.
I wanted to start with the Olympia Valance story that's been in the papers (ie nude photos leaked). I am always suspicious when young largely unknown (often out of work) singers/actresses come out in the press with stories that their "phones have been hacked". I remember when Paris Hilton's home videos were "stolen" in a burglary. Nek minute, the tapes are for sale with her blessing and she is the number media personality all of a sudden. Hmmmm.
Today, Olympia's stepfather, and dead to the world, Ross "Daddy Cool/Mondo Rock" Wilson comes out in the HS in "support" under  the headline "Olympia Valance’s stepfather Ross Wilson says she is relieved after revealing cyber crime". When you read the article, 5 very short paragraphs on Olympia's cyber crime story followed by 10 paragraphs and what this has been has been doing and up coming ventures, gigs, albums etc. Hmmmmm.

Robert Heatley Stand / Sir Doug Nicholls Round
Whilst the plights of Carlton are our focus on this forum, I think it's very important we acknowledge Sir Doug Nicholls round in its entirety. I would like to acknowledge the wonderful Indigenous culture in this country, which I personally want to learn much more about, and the magnificently talented football players it has gifted us. We are blessed to have it and should respect and learn more from it.
It would be remiss of me to not acknowledge our current indigenous boys led by Eddie but also a past great in Syd Jackson who I have had the pleasure of meeting and finer gentleman and Carlton person you would be hard pressed to find.
Enjoy the round, enjoy the culture  and the joy it brings us, in this instance through football, not only today, but every day.
Cheers

Robert Heatley Stand / Cripps Charged by MRO
With wrestling. What a joke.

Carlton co-captain Patrick Cripps has been charged with wrestling by the Match Review Officer.

The incident occurred with North Melbourne midfielder Jed Anderson during the second quarter of Saturday’s win over the Kangaroos.

The MRO charge carries a $1,250 fine, which can be reduced to $750 with an early guilty plea.

The Club has until midday on Monday to respond to the charge.
