Just watched the comeback highlights on YouTube and in didnt give rough credit to Andrew Walker.. He had a hand in four goals and his kick on his left was first class

Menzel had some real classy touches in there. Definitely a player.

Not sure how many touches Menzel had in the last, but his pick up at his ankles then the sheppard to give Gibbs space from the centre bounce clearance set up two goals.

Was clever little kick around the corner into the middle for Murph, who got caught, spill to walker to Garlett. So I reckon he had a hand in 3.

With three of our best four on ballers missing we couldn't get our hands on the footy in the first half, the boundary line style minimised the damage so we were still in the game. We still played the boundary in the last term anyway, we just moved the ball faster and better. With no tall targets up forward we were forced to kicking to our small player's advantage and not kicking and hoping Casboult takes a big pack mark.

Interesting that the Fox team suggested that Yarran had gone to KCornes and was using his pace to run off him.   Can't say I noticed it and was interested if anyone else picked it up.

Yazz was on Wingard for a large portion of the last quarter from what I could see but I too heard the Cornes comment and it came early in the last term.

No it didn't. Time and time again Port won the ball from our stagnant play, switched it through the middle and cut us up. The gameplan was doing us no favours whatsoever.

and there game plan ultimately cost them the game.  Once the belief came we cut them to pieces from there chip kicking through the corridor.

on a separate note just watched the replay Bell body is so underestimated.. He is brutal the way he keeps bullocking

Everyone in the football world wanted us to lose, should have heard Eddie calling the final minutes of the Brisbane Geelong game.

Nah not at all, once we started switching the ball inside we looked far more dangerous. A lot of our goals came in the last from switching through the middle once we got up to the wing. Think about it, Yarran's goal, the pass from Army to Betts, Murphy and Gibbs streaming through the middle to score goals. We had no choice but to switch to an attacking style and not for the first time this year it resulted in quick goals to us.

Their pressure dropped off.   Young teams just struggle to keep that pressure up for four quarters.

It was a mirror image of the first half.    We couldn't get the ball out of the back half and they moved the ball so well.   They worked harder.

137 uncontested possessions to 51 at half time is disgusting.

Healy made the comment in last quarter "where was this pressure from the Blues in the first half"

I think people are being a little bit cheeky to suggest that Mick scrapped his old game plan.   We actually started to win the ball in the centre and run, rather than chase tail.    The quick ball movement was a combination of Port dropping off and us working harder and as a result we had options everywhere.

Yeap posters had been calling for Yarran to go half back for weeks and it was clear this had an impact.   As did Murphy going forward more and Walker getting into the game in the last.

I reckon those three had the biggest say in the end. Walker's clean hands down low to pick the ball and sprint off on multiple occasions were telling.

His pick up down low and hands off was sublime and he tackles hard. It's a huge bonus to be able to get a final into blokes like he, Belly, McInnes and Curnow.

Putting duigan in the centre might be the move of the season

Duigan will be a smarter wrecking ball than robbo

This could be good for the finals
