Getting killed in the air in the F50, as usual when we play north.

Rowe needs to be de-listed, sooner rather than later.

Petrie takes mark. Is on very acute angle. Walks towards man on mark Docherty. Umpire calls play on.

Does Sam run towards Petrie to put him off? No way. just stands there t like a log of wood and jumps up while Petrie calmly under no pressure puts it through.

I'm impressed with Bokehoerst efforts tonight, and I'm not including that goal he kicked. He has shown a lot more tonight in a totally dispirited team.

Absolutely, seen nothing from him for so long to justify him continuing to keep getting games!

I said a few weeks ago that i didn't think barker had it as a coach because he sits there like a stunned mullet showing no emotion.

When asked about that very point at a press conference,m, he said he likes to be in control of his emotions.
I accepted that. then he came out and said all the things that we have been saying. lack of skills being the main one, and i said, well at least he knows what the problems are and i felt he needed to be given a chance.

his lack of coaching nouse, however has come to the fore over the past few weeks.
And tonight is a further example of that.

Does he want to win the game, or does he want to minimize the loss.

You can't have a forward line of one. Levi. he needs to put a forward structure in place so that at least the boys if they actually get the ball, have someone to kick to.

having said all that, you can't win games with blokes like Rowe, and yarran who are useless, hendo, whose heart isn't in it, and carrazo whose gone.

Tutt isn't good enough, White can't get a touch, and Jammo is gone.

Very sad what has become of this team and club.

You just witnessed Cripps major weakness. Cannot kick straight from 20-30 metres out.

If he doesn't correct this, he will cost us big time one day.

Don't know if you blokes know this, so I'll put this in capitals.

SCOTTY THOMPSON IS A WOODWORKER. CLEARED OUT HIS GARAGE AND WORKS WITH WOOD.

I'll repeat it another 26 times if you like, just like that imbecile Brian Taylor is doing.

If Henderson gets 10 opportunities a game to take an overhead mark, his strike rate is about 2 out of 10. Just hopless, and then he gets in the way of Levi, who would have marked that last attack on goal.

Interesting, yet when he goes into defence he doesn't drop one. Happy with his game until the last part of that qtr, when he suddenly couldn't catch a cold.

Maybe it's "fair weather" supporting...
It's where we've come to after more than a decade of mediocrity, and worse.

But if players give the impression that they don't really care they won't get a lot of support.
If on the other hand they show us something like they did that quarter we'll back them 100%.

I hope not...
I am (fairly :) )sure you are not serious, but I hope Carlton make no decisions at all on this role until we are ready to do it right.
Carlton should be able to grab a few wins, we were talking flags only 2 years ago and of course North have been very average this year.

Team have done well to work their way back into this, need to now carry that momentum through, no excuses

Thank heaven we are still in this game. Cripps has gone to the top of the ladder of worst set shot at goal. Maybe Levi should teach him to kick. Yarran, WAKE UP. White, chase Waite if he pushes you over. Don't just give up. Buckley, keep working. For a little guy your not that bad. Kreuzer get into the game already and actually do something. Stop leaping for marks 2 mins too early.

Post by: bignic on August 01, 2015, 08:38:36 pm
I have said this many times before, Lodsy.

We pay their wages, and they are very substantial wages, and all we ask is 100% effort every time they pull on the jumper.

When they won't commit to the Club, and the Club are us, the members, then why should we commit to them?

That quarter proved, that despite carrying some passengers like Rowe, Yarran, and Tutt, and Carrots hasn't done a lot, and Jammo seems lost, they can give this game a real shake, provided Barkers instructions are to attack at all costs, no matter what.

I reckon that's what we all want to see.

We want to see them play exciting football, so that even if they lose, we can have some satisfaction knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it isn't a train coming the other way.

Boaky repaying the faith a couple of us have had in him...nice goal, specky and looks more composed albeit Nth are not a very intimidating team...wish his team-mates would get around him more..
Simon White...very honest footballer
Cam Wood....paired with MK are making life hard for Goldstein and Wood is underated.

Henderson, Everitt and the Boult are enjoying the undersized Nth defenders and have been ok..

The skipper has been great in both quarters, led well and played well...

Cripps...gun extractor...

They cannot help themselves and it applies to players from all teams.

A whole body to tackle when a player is virtually upright, and they grab them around the neck.

If Rowe is still on the list next year, I will be off it.
And I can tell you that there are other like minded people like me who contribute to the club who will no longer do so if he is still on the list.

And that goes for Yarran too. His problems are affecting his football, and he cannot function properly under those circumstances.

With the way the Kangas pressure us to turn the ball over, and how well they run in numbers forward, this last quarter could get very ugly for us. Very ugly indeed.

Carrazzo a liability, already thinking about life after football and head not in the game, was directly responsible for the last two north goals, called for it with Casboult and was too concerned about the ball and let Ziebel get clear and goal side.

It's got to be deflating for the players out there like Murphy, Cripps, Buckley, Kruezer, Simpson and Casboult to have other senior players out there looking like they're only half interested. Hard to compete when three to four of your senior players are not interested.

It's a side looking for finals versus a side looking to just finish the season.

I like Goldstein as a footballer, but does he have a special rule where he's allowed to hold in around the neck in the ruck contest?

I DO NOT WANT BARKER AS A COACH!  HE IS FAR TO SOFT. WHEN YOU TEAM IS BEING ACCLAIMED AS BEING SOFT, WHY WOULD YOU ALLOW THIS ONE-FINGER CELEBRATION?  IT CLEARLY LOOKS EFFEMINATE.  WE NEED TO SHOW A MUCH TOUGHER ATTITUDE.  A SMALL THING BUT VERY INDICATIVE.

Over use of handball.
Won't kick long to our forwards, makes you want to vomit.
Were the instructions handball at all cost ?
Barker has to go. I have heard his reason for not showing any passion in the box.
It's cr@p. If you don't show passion, then you don't possess any.

He looks asleep and coaches the same way.

Bokehorsts ,main issue is that he's incapable of making  the right decisions quickly. So unless he's completely clear of the opposition and has to think his way out of a situation, he's stuffed.

This is a very simple game when you are as stuffed as we are.

So the instructions should be, don't handball unless to our complete advantage, don't kick backwards, and kick the ball long to our forward line.
