So no.
It won't be changed.
Regardless, I think he is a significant chance for some sort of payout, even if it's just to drop the lawsuit, because reality is when Renault directed Piquet to crash to bring Alonso back into contention it was deliberate. None of that can be debated because they have all since confessed, and it looks like in old age Eccelstone has disclosed they knew that at the time not just retrospectively.

Whether it was in or out of the rules of the time might be debated, deliberately crashing into barriers wasn't explicitly written in at that time as far as I know, but the FIA banned the Renault people so it must have thought it was crook.

Its the nature of the position to be in and out of games, weeks at a time.

I think he was underdone.
I think he underperformed.
I think he still deserves another week.
That's how I see it.

I think fans are giving Fantasia credits that as yet remain undeserved, for a variety of reasons he's been ordinary since leaving the filthy cheats.

As you mention we know Owies has missed a bunch of pre-season, I think I posted as much in the pre-game questioning about how they could all be playing not having stepped on the field yet for 2024. But at least we saw Owies willing to do the work to get contests, that's his gig, and as I see it that's the modern small forward role. FWIW, I thought Hollands game was similar, he was all over the ground but not very effective or influential particularly before 1/2-time.

They all looked better once we got on a roll, but that can't keep happening.

The cameo stuff some fans like is in my perspective way over-rated.

I thought Ooorazio did some great 1%ers off the ball and some of his touches were deft, small but clever and clean.
Right place right time type of stuff. Only experience would put you in these positions.
Possessions numbers might not be there but quality is. He'll be better for the run considering his time on the sidelines.
It was nowhere near enough for AFL, and further Fantasia DE went at just 45% in gathering those 1%ers, if you go with a DE under 50%, that means you helped them more than you helped us!

Interesting to hear the legal claims from Massa regarding 2008, not much F1 could have done at the time, but certainly in hindsight he's got a very good case following the revelations the Piquet Singapore crash was deliberate.

In my opinion, the fact that the FIA later banned a number of Renault managers and technicians, leaves the FIA with little ground to stand on.

Massa deserves compensation as a minimum, and quite possibly the 2008 world title.

I suspect the FIA defence will assert Ecclestone has dementia or is otherwise losing his 93 year old marbles.

It was a hard fought win after Marsh and Carey seemed to be cruising towards victory.  I'd say the batting in general is fragile, not just the top order.
I had to laugh today listening to the defence of Smith, because less than 24 hrs ago as the team crumbled it would have been Carey's head on the block.

On Smith we seem to have failed to learn from the way the Poms deconstructed Root. I'm sure they basically did the same thing that we are now repeating with Smith, and it took several seasons for Root to recover but starting as a much younger man.

Carroll seems to have also gained more confidence and looks to have more awareness and poise. Very promising imho.
I think the change of game style to the more berserker approach has helped types like Carroll.

Before last season's epiphany we were more a grind team living and dying by mistakes trying to play perfect footy, now we welcome mistakes and encourage everyone to have a crack, nobody is guarding grass.

You'd be excused for thinking Cummins has stolen Carey's ton in a vein attempt to prevent a discussion about Smith's future. Is it coincidence the NSW Cricket Mafia is discussing that Carey's spot is at risk while Smith remains secure as opener and Labuschagne a lock? Carey gets a ton and they can't possibly drop him as the NSW Cricket Mafia is discussing.

How our test captain couldn't farm the strike to give Carey his well deserved ton is bizarre if not shocking!

Surely you know that the Age article was written well before the Kerr story broke?
In matters like this the content is irrelevant, in the print we knew years ago that the public mostly just read headlines and graphics, even back in the 80s when I was there and it took hours to create a graphic we would pause stories the next edition to get it just right.

Nothing you see is an accident or coincidence, probably a dozen people have ticked off that graphic and headline before it was published, and now they can change it in seconds.

I just re-watched the game and I think it's clear we were at our best when TDK rucked with BigH as high forward and Charlie deep or wide. Then we have the luxury of the odd change up, but not so many rotations as we become predictable / systematic.

As I see it, when BigH rucks not only do we put him at risk, but Charlie then has to deal with extra KPD numbers. But when BigH gets mobile as a forward he draws players far enough out of F50 that they can't flood back onto Charlie, provided we move the ball fast enough. When BigH rucks Charlie loses that leveller, things might be different if Martin returns, but some weeks it will be horses for courses and we will go smaller or taller accordingly.

Its interesting with those players being high quality automatics most weeks but the smaller lineup with extra pace vs Brisbane seem to work well and that quartet would make us a lot slower and probably alter Brisbane's tactics.
I think you have to include agility in the acceleration and speed combination to understand how we clawed back that result on Friday, if I said Weiters lacked one area it would be agility, but he is not alone for blokes that size, which is lucky for Charlie Curnow.
