Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL 2023 Preliminary Final Carlton vs Brisbane Pre Game Prognostications
Absolutely agree. I was asked last night before the game who I'd prefer to win, all bias against the filth aside, and I picked the Pies. Much prefer to face them next week.
No doubt if we make it through playing  the pies would provide added motivation, let’s get through today and then we can greet them with our ‘blue fury’!

We’ll Ross Lyon wasn’t exactly glowing about us after the match, stared that he knew what we were capable of which is a what we  brought in the second half and good teams will be able to handle it, I guess that means the Saints aint a good team.
No one does ‘bitter’ better than Ross in a losing press conference, flog!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: The life of a Carlton supporter.
I think that there is still an underlying question in the back of most Carlton peoples' minds... "Can we be trusted yet?"

Port was great, Collingwood exceptional but sometimes I think we are most vulnerable against our peers, and we come up against a couple of those in the next four weeks.  St Kilda, Gold Coast and GWS are all around us and teams that we should beat, given out recent form......but can we be trusted yet???
Trick is not the view them as our peers, I reckon we've gone past a couple of them at least!

I actually agree, emotion of the moment got to me!

On reflection we need to teach, Charles in particular... discernment. Learn when to take your time and use a drop punt. He has shown that he can launch a deadly drop punt from outside 50, so the ability is there. Again, and common with our group - above the shoulders... and inexperience.
Agree, needed to go back take his time and own the moment. This is the next step in his development to becoming the champion we all hope he can be.

Saint Nick is full of bd. We have the longest injury list in the league. How could you make a reasonable prediction of a flag based on that fact.
Tigers, Lions, Suns, Swans, Pies all have <6 out. They are some of the teams we're up against for a top 8 finish.
Really smacks of acknowledging our performances in the hope of us failing and fearing our success. No one would have expected us to contend this year, much less with the worst injury list in the league, yet we continue to defy the odds and these closet critics can’t stand it. Gotta love what we’re doing right now!

Kemp had 17 touches, Freo’s Brodie had 36 🙂

I thought that Kemp played very well against a much bigger and more experienced opponent.  He defends hard, spoils well and makes good use of the pill when he gets.  He has a good step and the acceleration to get clear of his opponent when he has possession.  A different skill set to our other defenders.
:-[  :-[  :-[  OK, that’s makes more sense, I just got back from a short trip to Europe landing this morning so it’s back to bed for me! Seriously though I was happy with Kemps’ second half and he looked like he was finding his feet at the level. No doubt it helped that we were on top for most of the second half but he definitely wasn’t out of place. Another that might begin to establish himself along with Young and Boyd as a result of the opportunities created by our injury list.
