New women's coach appointed

The club has appointed Damien Keeping as coach of the women's team.  I don't know anything about him but he seems to be well qualified.

Damien Keeping was the Bulldogs coach who we have poached.

To go with this, there is an article in the HUN telling of the selection process (Bolton and Craig mentioned) as well as how he will be closely working with Andrew Mckay.

A key decision making criteria for him, was the learning opportunity at Carlton, and how the club seemed to be one which promotes education, teaching, and SOLIDARITY.

All the right noises.

Fremantle has snaffled Michelle Cowan from Melbourne where she was working with both the male and female footy teams.

Cowan lives in Perth and commutes to Melbourne fortnightly so the switch to Freo makes a lot of sense.

She has been coaching the Melbourne women since 2013 so her departure may loosen the grip Melbourne has on some of their players.
