VFL 2022 Rd 21 Carlton vs Casey at Casey

Sunday at Midday and on TV. Pity we'll have so few players available to take on the undefeated Demons.
Tom de Koning will probably have his 1st VFL game for the year.

AT risk of dropping out of finals - for both AFL and VFL if we dont win one of last two games. What a shame that would be.

Hopefully Honey and Hayes will play. One of Setterfield, Dow and de Koning probably as well.

Qtr time, Casey by 3pts.

Like Crocker playing further up the ground.
Kemp bad head knock but looks like he'll be okay.
Casey going for 17 or 18 wins on the trot!
Like the seniors the Magoos are brave at the contest and really taking it up to Casey in appalling conditions... constant rain, strong winds.
Fogarty, Carroll and Hayes all doing well. Website shows Hayes as having 0 possessions... wrong.
TDK a little quiet.
Dow is Dow.

Half time, Blues by 1pt. Terrific effort from the boys. Relentless.

Despite Mirkov injury we won the clearances. Go into the half time break with our nose in front. Wet, windy conditions.

Casey by 9 pts at 3/4 time.

Boys having a red hot go.

Fogarty and Carroll standouts.

Reckon Fogarty has been unlucky to not get more of a go at senior level...Carroll should be playing wing in the seniors next season.

Fogarty's pressure was solid. Carroll is class - glad he's able to develop in the 2's.

Although the boys went down by 16pts in shizen conditions they had a red hot go. However, they were helped by Casey's inaccuracy in front of goal ...6.13 to 5.3. Our tackling intensity was first rate.

Fogarty was a standout and his defensive pressure (13 tackles) was huge. On the tackle front, of the AFL listed boys... Carroll, 9... Kemp and Hayes both, 6... VFL listed boys, Trudgeon 10, Maher 7, JGM 5. And for the record, Dow - 1 (in the last qtr).

Dow led the disposals with 34, Carroll 22, Hayes 19 and Fogarty 18.

It was a good game but Fogs and Carroll were excellent

Yep, a few boys put their hands up for senior selection consideration. I think that's season over for the Magoos.
