Ah the classic jumper debate.

I don't have an aversion to the alternative strips.

I certainly don't have such a distaste that most seem to.

I do know that every single jumper that comes out has those in favour of it, and those against it.

For the record, i think this jumper was greeted with the most amount of acceptance over previous versions.
I also think jumper sales would not be a good indication, as i don't think many people are buying much Carlton merch at present, regardless of what it looks like.

The difficulty I have is young supporters can't really identify with those club colours after they're scrapped for the next and latest incarnation.  They're a cheap marketing exercise and though I hate Richmond, they should have never been compelled to wear their clash guernsey in the GF.  Collingwood hasn't succumbed anywhere near the level others have

Bolton doesn't react to obvious field changes required during the course of a game, far too soft on taking the gamble which means leniency on poor efforts and self defence on the assumption that we're a "young side", assuming he'll escape appropriate scrutiny.

He shouldn't and neither should Silvagni (to some degree at least).  I stayed well away from posting yesterday as I "knew" we'd be flogged and the result would elicit all these responses.

Everyone's understandably angry and I've not seen a single post that doesn't have some merit in the argument.  Shows tolerance in the extreme

Other young teams abound with pride in what they do individually or as a group

We are so far behind on that issue, it points to lack of authority, self respect, values and sense of entitlement

What we do from hereon in will determine the long term future of the club

Their (England) biggest ODI win and our biggest loss.  That is probably a record that will never be beaten.

One inviolable right withdrawn from some but for others?

Let it pass.  Cheap sub continent and manufactured achievements amount to nothing.  I don't subscribe to playing with outright cheats

I was in LA once sitting on the tarmac and one of the Indigenous painted Qantas planes roller past. A couple of middle Amercian norbits looked out the window and stated "What is with that plane, it looks like it was painted by a two year old!"

I leaned across and quietly let them know it was based on Indigenous art that has been around as cave paintings for 40000 years, long before Christians existed!

One of them corrected me, told me it cannot be true because the earth is only 6500 years old, what more could I say, God Bless America! :o

Those 74s (x 2) are now mothballed .... so should be the idiots who thought the world started yesterday.
