I won't be at this one, nor is it on TV. Cheer extra loud for me!

Heavens about to open over Geelong, they probably knew that and hence wanted to get goals on the board, early.

There is always a period in games where we concede 4-6 unanswered goals... something to look at over the pre-season, along with slow starts!

Wind is absolutely howling in Geelong. Now it's raining too. Now the wind's done a complete 180 and the Cats have it again.

Cats have the wind for the entire first HALF
Then they have the rain coming after they get a few goals up.
...and they are playing at home in front of their own feral crowd.

6 goals down, if we come back from here, it will one for the ages.

Does it not matter anymore if you get tackled and drop the ball?

Can you just throw the ball too? No more hand balling required?

We go inside 50 about ten times just then and come away with a point. They go in once, bang. 6 points.

Harry is still playing sore. He shouldn't be out there, but we have a lack of other options.

I dare say if Jones was right today, Casboult would play forward with Gov and Harry wouldn't be playing.

Home ground crowd does wonders.

FWIW free kick count is 12-7 geelongs way.
First i remember it was 2-4.

So they've had 10-3 since very early on.

Add in the mark on/after the siren which was paid (against us again) and you wonder why you bother turning up.

Tell me and try to convince me we won’t lose by over 100 points. No home ground advantage or poor umpiring can create that result. Are we really looking that sh1t?

On tv that looked ok.  Mark before the siren.

Some pride would be making tuohy eat the football at some point.

That holding the ball against levi was diabolical.

We are playing the team that spent most of the year on top of the ladder with a game in hand.....at their home deck.....at full strength.

We have given them a headstart, the wind advantage for the entire game and the umpires on their side.

We are playing without our best key forward (Curnow) and best defender (Jones) and in their place is an injured Harry, a not 100% Weitering.
We are a tall marking side, with young kid runners. Both of which is a hindrance in the wet.

We have nothing to play for, and have busted our gut up to this point of the season....arguably playing above ourselves for the 2nd half of the season.

I'm not saying i expected this, but you can certainly understand it.

I figured this would happen and we'd check out again. Glad we won last week to get 6 wins from 11 to finish. Won 2 last rounds since 2001.

No point getting too worried about it.

Yet another example of umpires screwing us over.

How was that touched?

Clearly didn't get touched by Geelong player.

Hit below the knee on Obrien, which counts as a kick.

Not only did the field umpire screw us over when the goal umpire thought it was a goal....and tried to say that no review is required....the umpire in the box came back with touched as well.

FMD! How???

Umpires call i would have accepted, but flat out behind is bollocks for many reasons.

So the goal umpire says it’s come off a Carlton player below the knee after the kick, how does the field umpire get to over rule ithe goal when it’s after any Geelong player is any where near it?

Bingo

How?

I concede the Geelong player may have touched it straight off the boot. But then it came off a Carlton player below the knee. Just as the goal umpire said.

How did the field umpire over rule it? Why the didn’t the goal umpire say what he saw? Why didn’t the video replay see it?

That goal review was disgraceful.

It's why umpires are hated.

This is a dead rubber, that goal was effectively a goal irrespective of that decision (brushed a carlton knee on the way through).

40 point difference on a day where we've kicked stuff all.

Should have paid the goal.  It was rubbish.

Is it wrong to hope Daisy calls the umpire’s cheats again today on his last game?

Better yet, go out in glory by taking out Dangerfield or Ablett ahead of finals as revenge for Milburn’s dog act.

Listening on the radio and not able to see what is happening in real time. Has the ringmaster put Ronald McDonald and Bozo on the field yet. Sounds like all the other clowns are out there. Bye bye Cogs. I’m guessing your club of not choice has just be made.

No. crap conditions that apparently according to the TV has had the wind against us for 3 quarters straight plus top of the ladder PLUS umpires who refuse to pay AGAINST Geelong for anything yet pay for everything against us including ridiculous deliberates, of which there was just another. In the wet ???? good one screwing pathetic umpires.

I wish Scott danger Ablett and Selwood the very worst in the finals series.

It’s a tough day when Cripps has 35 disposals, 31 for Murphy, 29 for Ed who missed almost all the last quarter and still lose by 11 goals. Casboult no marks in the entire game. First time in 123 games. Thank god that is over. What a f@cking sh1t result.
