Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Rd 1 2022 Post Game Permutations
I may have missed it but did anyone else note the best part of the match?  Which one you say?  The seconds after the final siren, when we saw thousands of Blues supporters all together leap to their feet. arms in the air, in joyous celebration,  not seen since we won a premiership!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Post Game Passion; AFL Rd 21: Carlton vs Gold Coast
There are a few things that I comment on EVERY GAME.  When the opposition have the ball not a single Carlton player looks for an opposition player that is in a position to receive a pass and then run HARD to close that opportunity for them.

Every game, players (especially Weitering) do NOT look at their opponent when standing their mark but rather look at the umpire.   This season it is easier to hear what the umpire is saying so there is no need to look at him for information but to  just concentrate on the body and eyes of your opponent to give yourself a possible advantage.

Lack of speed to the ball.  If a player gets to the ball first easily he has a great advantage over his opponents.  If still hard pressed then you still have time to kick the ball off the ground.

Too many players left in the dark when being hard-chased.  No team-mates yelling advice.

AND MANY OTHER SMALL DETAILS TO NUMEROUS TO LIST HERE.

And last night on FC the mongrel Cane Cornes put forward the proposal that Essendon lure Big Harry and his brother to them.  He argued why stay at an unsuccessful club, one unlikely to succeed for a few years when you can join an upward moving club like Essendon.  Raping the unsuccessful clubs would be a disaster.    :'(  >:D  >:D  >:D  >:D  >:D  >:D

Cripps goal after getting a free on our side of the centre circle and then 50 metres. I thought that the square was 40 m, so a 50 metre free uses 20 metres of that and then 30 metres past the line of the square.  Cripps was given about 15 metres into the 50.  Certainly he kicked the goal but the umpires were way out on the measuring,

Last chance for awhile for Dow I reckon then. We absolutely smashed Freo through the midfield and around the ground....our midfielders (Cripps, Walsh, Fogarty, Curnow etc) were prolific...except Dow. He just can't seem to get near it and still appears to lack some footy smarts at times.

I watched the replay and noticed a number of times team-mates handballed to Dow when he was absolutely covered.  Despite a few self errors I would like to see him given a few more games.

Blah-Blah Bar / Re: General Discussions
I noticed that the Oregon study suggested that the money formerly used to arrest, hold court, incarcerate, etc. would be better spent else where.  Suggesting it would be less.  Yes there would be decreases in these costs but they would probably be more than matched by medical and psychological bills.
