or spud McGovern flying for a ball and getting nowhere near it

We haven't changed, no physicality and always look intimidated. Unless we get players who like it tough and can stand up and help Cripps we won't be any good.

Should have gone hard at SPP in the off season.
Finals, then 4 in a row!

I'll call this early because I thought it already anyway, the McKay, McGovern, Levi setup is a dud.

McKay needs a full season in the 2s, how he came straight back in is a mystery and a miracle.

The dumbest turnovers done by our seniors. Faking McGovern what the hell was that pushing the ball BACK into play for an easy Saints goal? Is he for real? Has he got $ on Saints to win?

Yep believed the hype 🙄 pissed off

We just carry too many 'B' graders to be any good. Get seduced when they show a glimpse but in the main they can't sustain the form.

It reminds me of THAT game vs the Cheats when Carazzo got taken out. Men v boys.
These Saints guys are too tall and too fast.

re Cripps
Slimming down has made him lose his point of difference.

If you look around the field we have a lot of skinny guys.
Not all of them are youngun's still developing.

Have we sacrificed size and strength for a greater aerobic capacity.
We can put in the good finishes but many of our players get brushed aside pretty easily when it becomes a strength contest..

It's mental laziness. No side's physically stronger than Geelong. It's application. Turning up to compete when you feel like it is not good enough.

Only thing we have going for us is no side feels safe when 5 goals ahead of Carlton. We can't keep coming back from disaster all the time though.

So near, but so far. So much effort for so little reward.
But we are working so much harder!
