Great response to last week's debacle, however, we resorted to type... the honourable loss doyens strike again. The masters of the brave loss.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

Well, i read the script...

From the pre-game...
Get on top early, or at least level pegging, falling away later in the game.

Ruined a good game by letting them kick 5 goals very late.

I wrote this in the in-game.
I'll keep it here for all to see.

Free kick count....

Half time
Collingwood - 16
Carlton - 6.

3/4 time
Collingwood - 20
Carlton - 7

Final
Collingwood - 24
Carlton - 8 (came with 2mins to go in the game - after Plowman was NOT given 2 obvious free kicks, which resulted in 2x goals to get them up by 2 goals late)

Hard to compete with 25 players out there.

Their better players lifted in that last part of the game and they also had another two blokes with whistles helping them out which made it impossible...

You can add that Crisp goal where Marchbank was held by Elliott...

Tremendous performance against grandfinalists.

If it weren't for the umpiring non-calls (I.e. ask Plowman - He'll be the one throwing his guts up) we could have snatched it coz we certainly matched them.

Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

That non free to Plowman with Elliott virtually dry humping him.

When the whips started cracking at the end our midfield got smashed. 26-5 inside 50’s in the last quarter. Cripps played a lone hand in the middle but he can't do everything.

When the umps hand them the ball, its a lot easier to get the ball inside 50.

A lot of folks think Cripps is the man, but I wonder if it's actually Kreuzer.

DeGoey was influential when it mattered and Treloar also lifted.......probably didnt get enough out of the first half when we were clearly the better team.

Fisher was lame for the last quarter and a half. Couldn’t run or kick. Made a significant difference.
