And even better when this Melb boy wakes up in Adelaide after attending the game. Don't wear my scarf too often (other than at the game) but may just strut around town today with it on.
Not sure where exactly to put this. For those interested in something a little lighthearted, a chat between Tracey McKay and Jackie De Koning, mums of the McKay and De Koning boys.
I listened to both episodes, a very pleasant listen. Nice to get a different perspective. Also nice there are 2 Carlton players that are sons so a bit of 'inside' talk
Weitering gave up on Walker 3-4 times and allowed him to take uncontested marks.
I was rather surprised (disappointed) by the distance between Weitering and Walker a number of times - very unlike him. First time in a long while (that I remember) that he was badly beaten.
Agreed Thry.....if we're serious and on, we should win easily. We still need to learn how to really bury sides when we have the advantage and % could be critical come the pointy end of the season.
Agree on the percentage. For too many years we have been just hoping for a win, now we need a win + the percentage that goes when good sides have good wins.
I have been pretty happy with Cuningham and Fogarty so far.
These are 2 players I have been very interested in. I keep waiting for Cunningham to have that really big game but I have been somewhat disappointed so far this year - fingers crossed going forward. Fogarty I was generally uninterested in 10-12 months ago - I had him well behind Owies, Motlop, small Durdin, and even Cunningham but he is certainly exceeding my expectations - hopefully his good form continues and he does seem to offer more than just the small forward role (which is where I had him playing)
