Why are Byrne and Cunningham in the VFL?

Why are Byrne and Cunningham in the VFL?

Cuningham I understand but Bunsen surely deserved a call-up. Maybe giving Den Den a final game in front of his home crowd and also showcasing Boekhorst for the Weagles and D1ckers to have a good look at.

Would love to head to Casey Fields today to watch the game but recovering from nasty bronchitis so laying low!

Cunningham has shown enough in my opinion, he had a quiet one a fortnight ago but that happens in the first 20 or 30 games, Byrne I simply can't understand unless it's on medical advice.

5.1 to 0.2 in Casey's favour at quarter time, sounds like the NB's are in for a rough day.  :(

Half time Casey 9.3, NB's 1.5.
It's not getting any better, Sumner KO'd and done for the day, Korchek going pretty well.

Our goal was from a 50m penalty. We beat this mob by close to 100 pts the first time round. We have alot less fit players now.

The bottom line is that our depth is almost non existent, two or three key injuries and our seniors and seconds are both sunk.
We've still got a lot of work ahead of us but most of us were well aware of how far back we were coming from.

Injuries we have in the seniors, which is plenty, will always hurt the NBs but we lost a few regular NBs too. Likes of Kerr are out for the year.

Graham getting rubbed out didn't help either, but our depth is poor.

Three quarter time, Casey 11.4, NB's 4.9.
We won a quarter!
Byrne and Macredie playing well, goals to Korchek and a couple of kids in Declase and Thorpe.

Jaksch went on the plane to Perth, so there wasn't a lot on the field today.

Considering the difference in players we put on the field, you can see why we have struggled lately.

However we are still trying hard. 33 points down.

We lost by 37 points when Bolger missed after the siren.

AFL Vic Development League 2017
Casey Demons   2.0  3.3  4.8  5.9 (39)
Northern Blues   3.2  5.4  6.6  7.7 (49)

That is a pretty good effort from a very undermanned side.

Casey Demons   5.1  9.3  11.4  16.6 (102)
Northern Blues   0.2  1.5  4.9  8.17 (65)

GOALS: Palmer 2, Wilson 2, Declase, Gallucci, Korcheck, Thorpe.

DISPOSALS: Palmer 30, L. Russell 28, Stevens 23, Wilson 20, O'Shea 19, Declase 19, Byrne 18.

From the sounds of things, Palmer played his best game for us. We also had a LOT of shots today, including a minimum of 4 posters.
They had 10 scores after half time, while we had 19 scores.

Not a bad effort with the side we had on the park.
