Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Post Game Analysis: AFL 2021 Rd 11: Carlton vs Sydney
Notice a pattern here?
Yes I do as do so many others on this site. You and laj "the mathematician" fail to acknowledge the facts.

You both keep harping on about, if we didn't lose that quarter or didn't lose that game, everything would be different and the all time classic lines from laj like:

"If we didn't have to many 4 goal run ons we'd be in the eight" ... Really? The guy is a genius. I'm sure Carlton are PMing him asking for his phone number so they can get him in the coaches box asap! 🤣

Stop making crap up and pretending everything is ok. It's not...

Well....i think thats all of them. You've bagged out all 23 players today. New record!

Jesus Kruddler. Are the official Carlton apologist?

If you refuse to acknowledge the crapness at all levels of the club, that's fine. But let others comment on what they see and to be honest what most see, bar you. crap skills, crap game plan and crap coaching.

The same crap week after week... It ain't no fluke...

We should challenge the Plowman penalty, he was basically punching the ball at the same time O'Meara tried to mark it.

Why? Him not playing improves our team tenfold. Give him an additional 10 weeks. And surely we can find a suspension for Jones somehow.

Those two are some of the major reasons for huge momentum swings with their shyte disposal and just sheer lack of game awareness. Appalling that both have played so many games for the club and highlights the sheer lack of player quality on the list.

Did we see this knob at any time over the last 2 weeks?
Oh dude. Your contributions are so full of wit and incisiveness. I look forward to reading your absolute butt laden crap as much as a hole in the head. Thanks for not letting me down.

If you think the last two weeks have been an enjoyable experience rather than cringe fests they actually were, you're more stupid than I originally thought. I imagine you sitting in your navy blue encrusted dungeon lauding the crap they served up the past two weeks and thinking "a premiership is around the corner". You're such a d!CK!

Silvagni's drafting and trading.... Just Wow! Any chance there could be one player who can kick?

6th year into the rebuild and we're where? It's embarassing that a club with so many first round picks hasn't improved one iota in 6 years. In fact it looks worse than when we first started. What Silvagni has done is akin to what Malthouse did when he cleaned out the entire forward line.

Then there's Teague and his love child untouchables like Murphy, SPS and Plowman. screw me... And people wonder why we're the joke we are... Soft and unskilled does not a player make, and we have a team full of them lead by our two captains and the irrepressible Marc Murphy...

That attack on the ball with Dangerfield was brutal.

Knocked out here against Port.

A section of Carlton fans have always called Murph soft.

If you look hard enough you will always find what you want.    No point arguing about it.
Thise two examples are what you'd expect from a player, any player on your list. Now document all the times he's pulled out of a contest, didn't tackle and token chased. I'll wait....

Victory isn't defined by ultimate success.

Simpson is a victor through his career efforts.

He was a skinny kid who couldn't get a kick, and yet somehow played over 300 games in navy, and managed to play a consecutive number of matches for many straight seasons.  He provided us some great highlights, played at a very bleak period and is highly respected by the footy industry and fans alike.

I remember sitting in front of some saints supporters who commented as much a few years back stating that he was the sort of player that you always respected and never begrudged a win for.

At the end of the day, if we define a player as successful as only being a flag winner, then they'd mostly be failures and blokes like Bob skilton are losers, right?
While that's all "touchy feely" good and all, my point still stands. It's like Nathan Jones at Melbourne these guys were at the wrong place at the wrong time when they got drafted. No one is doubting that.

But we've got to get the stench of losing out of the place. It's now been over 2 decades and guys like you still carry on like these great servants are awesome. No they aren't/weren't. It's a game of winning and losing and we've done so much of the latter is become beyond a joke now.

Surely you're even sick of it? Sometimes to affect the change you have to make some hard calls. These are some of the hard calls I believe need to be made. Murphy should have gone years ago to be honest, because he exemplifies the soft losing culture that permeates the club.

The sad part is, we as supporters are now accustomed to this and now make allowances for it as you did in your response. It's now to the point of acceptance. It's never the players fault, and you all offer "reasons" why we haven't won, progressed, were desperate enough etc etc etc... It's embarrassing to the truly great players and the history of the club.

Robert Heatley Stand / Some Sobering Reading
Just so everyone is the same page and doesn’t try and gloss over and make excuses for the club. Here are our starts to the last 9 seasons:

2013 0-3
2014 0-4
2015 0-3
2016 0-4
2017 0-2
2018 0-7
2019 0-4
2020 0-2
2021 0-2*

Now tell me the likes of Murphy and his cohorts have been great servants of this club.

It’s time! It’s time to be rid of the likes of Simpson, Kreuzer, Murphy and anyone else associated during this bleak period. What are Simpson and Kreuzer still doing around the club anyway?

What sort of winning culture can they impart to anyone? Fark me, Simpson has the most losses in the history of the game attributed to a player and Kreuzer wouldn’t be far behind.

What’s wrong with this place?

Jesus wept...

Tonight he wasn't
Disappointed to hear that, he's normally killin' it with his fierce tackling and laser like delivery into the forward line. Let alone his relentless pressure and unmatched second efforts. Just the complete footballer and would make Byron Pickett crap himself with his attack on the ball... Ahhh, the wonderful memories he's provided the club...
