Blah-Blah Bar / Pandemic Management bill. Health and well-being Act 2021.
Hello everyone, if this exists, please merge it where it should be.

The 16th to the 18th of November 2021 will be remembered as a historic moment in time for the people of Victoria.  The people of Victoria have been living in a “State of emergency “ under the health and well-being Act going back a few years. This state of emergency finally expires on the 15th of December 2021. The Victorian government has been working on an amended plan to take over after the 15th of December. It is known as the Pandemic Management bill. It has been worked on since April 2021. A one hundred plus page bill. On how the Victorian government can manage the Covid pandemic in our state. To apparently manage the safety of the people. Through settings that were part of the previous health and well-being Act.

This new Act has many problems with how it can be applied. Issues stated by the President of Victorian Bar Council. Issues stated by Liberty Victoria. Issues stated by at least a dozen recognised QC’s of which have all written mail to the current government to make major changes to this bill. To avoid imposing on human rights regulations, employment rights under fair work, and issues that will effect the judicial rights of all Victorians. This new bill has been voted in with the lower house of government in Victoria. It is now in serious discussion in the upper house. With little doubt it will be passed, and be a new standard to how we all are going to experience what will be called Pandemic Management.

It has the power once activated to be our new State of emergency, and allow many settings, restrictions of movement and penalties to fall in place. Something we have never seen before anywhere in the world. The Premier of the state and the Health minister have full powers to enforce any settings they feel are required to execute pandemic management. The Chief Health Officer is now just an advisory role. Playing a role that states facts and recommendations but the end result is what the Premier and Health minister decide to act on in our new settings. Not up for vote amongst other parliamentary members. Their concerns will be heard. However they can be rejected. They can offer further concerns to a committee which will review all concerns and act. A committee which is independent. One selected by the Premier and Health minister. Wow. How independent is that.

A settings or restriction can be placed on the community based on individual “attributes and characteristics “. Something we all have. We are all either black, white, male, female, gay, lesbian, fat, skinny, rich, poor, tall, short, and many more of these attributes and characteristics. Including the most important one of all. Political views. You could see a setting, restriction or a penalty applied to you based on your political view. Does any of this concern one person only here? Now I get to the hard nuts. We all know the first attribute will be unvaccinated. Sounds like a logical target. I don’t think speculation by me is anything less than what everyone expected. Why wasn’t this in the bill? Why does it allow such a grey area to target anyone? Is this about health and well-being of all Victorians. We were told by Dan Andrews that once we get to 80% fully vaccinated population we need to live with the virus.

Why do we now have a new bill? Why have we been given a glimmer of hope to see our families and friends for Christmas? Why have we been promised a chance to live under a covid way of life?  Why is there going to be a huge super spread issue going to happen day one of the Boxing Day test? Do I sit here and say nothing or tell you money talks and bullsh1t walks. 80 to 85 thousand people. I know it is in the open. They sit on top of each other. No 1.5m social distancing.  $150 per ticket average cost. Some more some less. Get on the beers Victoria. It might be our last moment of freedom for a while. Obviously add food and drinks to the total and we have a huge tax back to the government of the state.

Now for the hard items to digest. The penalties to those that don’t conform to the settings and restrictions that could be in place. No more $200 or $400 no face masks. The new penalties to minor breaches will be as high as $20,909. Not scanning in with your QR code could be as high as $90,000. Sorry but I forgot could be a very expensive result. Don’t ignore paying the penalty. It could cost you two years behind bars. Don’t bother getting a highly rated solicitor or barrister. The judicial system will have no standing against the new emergency state. It will over rule standard human rights laws. Appeals will be heard by the independent committee selected by the Premier. How do you think that will go?

Have you all heard about the new police rights regarding warrants and access to your property? You will have no rights. The police will be allowed access to your property for any suspicion regarding the new Pandemic Management ruling. Whether you have posted anything on a media site, phone calls, or public comments caught on CCTV. If there is anything that follows any trend against the political views of the current government, you can be detained and have all of your items removed from your house. Phone, tablets and computers. They can enter on a feeling you might be against the current government views huge or small. No warrants required. If you place a hand on any Officer of the law or a member of the department of health services you can be arrested and be jailed for at least 2 years. They can justify your reaction as assaults on an officer. Stand back or go to jail.

I am not an anti-vaxer. I have my first jab. I just fear what is yet to come. Sure come at me. I am considered anti Labor. Wrong. It is ant communism. Anti government because I was promised so much and delivered so little. Vote them out at the next election people say. That is November 2022. Andrews government could extend that election. They will. The new bill will allow them to do so indefinitely. As long as the virus exists anywhere in the world they can select restrictions to go along pandemic management . They can void elections. They can do as they choose. They can shut down businesses indefinitely. Call the committee as the judges in the courts will have no say. We Victorians are screwed. Remember my words in the first month of 2022. I hope I am wrong but in this case I know I am not.

Blah-Blah Bar / Scam warning to all.
Hello all. If this needs to be merged elsewhere then please do so admin staff.

Please read this and learn from my mistake.

I had a phone call today that I answered. It was someone claiming to be from amazon stating that I have purchased an iPhone and the need to clarify deliver details. I stated I did no such thing. That asked if I was sure as there is an order for one and the need to organise delivery. It’s for the sum of $799.99 cents sir. I said I have ordered no such thing. The asked me to log in to m account and check if this is true. They will cancel the order as someone might have extracted some of my account details and purchased it for themselves. I jumped on my iPad and checked my account and nothing came up. They instructed me to turn on my computer so they could verify this and cancel the order. I was asked to download an app and open my banking to check my account. I did so and I saw a transaction for $799.99.  I stated that I never placed any order. They asked me if I want to cancel the order and have the funds refunded back to my account. I said that is exactly what I want to do if this money has come out of my account.

I looked over at my iPad which had my account live and I saw $11,000 removed from my account as my balance dropped in less than a minute. I suspected something and instantly closed my account on my iPad by logging off. The Genuine looking CBA screen on my Mac (computer) was a fake menu which wasn’t live to my account and I realised I was getting screwed. When I told the caller I thought they were scamming me they got irritated and the phone and asked me why I have multiple devices looking at my account. This is the easiest way to have hackers pull money from your funds. I hung up the phone and closed my accounts online. I went to the bank which is 2 minutes from my house. These c@nts drew three transactions of a total of $11,000 from my bank account. One to a tax accountant I used recently and two other mysterious locations not familiar to me.

The bank will have little issue getting my money back from the accountant as this must have been an accidental transfer in a panic by the scammer to move my money fast. It was on my statement which they were viewing my account live when I was on the phone to them. The other two with a total value of around $7,000 might be lost forever. Calling back the number that called me goes as such. “The number you have called has been disconnected”. The bank is attempting to get the money back from where the money has been transferred to, but without the cooperation on the other side they may refuse to refund the transactions. It may get messy and I might not see all of my money again.

PLEASE do not accept a call that states you have purchased something. Over the internet, amazon etc. If so, DO NOT open your account to check your bank balance. DO NOT let them help you with potential wrong orders. Hang up the phone. Go straight to your bank and get them to check your bank balance. If everything looks good, report the phone call and walk away. I am and old man and this money living alone is all I have. To help me retire one day. It could have been $20,000 which would be my entire life savings ever. If covid couldn’t kill me that certainly would have pushed me over the edge. PLEASE don’t be an idiot that and gullible like I was. It looked like someone was genuinely concerned that I may have been hacked and money was spent without my knowledge. The minute I opened my account after downloading an app gave them live access to my life. That is where things went wrong for me. use be careful kids. Don’t let this happen to you. Don’t answer the phone. Don’t bank on the internet. DONT TRUST ANYONE. Please be wise and do nothing. As if covid wasn’t enough of a headache.

Blah-Blah Bar / Missing Plane, really ?
Plane leaves Kuala Lumpur for Beijing. Just vanishes from radar. No reason at all. Gone. If it crashed why can no debris be found. Nothing floating in the ocean. Nothing found on land. Why have the signals that normally get transmitted from the plane in emergencies, not be detected. If it was hijacked, how did it fall off the radar. How has not one person heard or seen anything to give people clues of where to look. How does a plane just vanish. Is this the "Burmuda Triangle" or what ? Its me, isn't it. 6 Australians missing so I expect our authorities to be asking questions and demanding some answers. Is this a cover up of some sorts or what. How can modern technology fails us ? :o

The Sports Desk / 2013 Melbourne Cup win and lose in the one race.
Gai Watehouse has a winner with Fiorente today, but in the 1st 200m of the race many missed a horse drop off the pack. A French mare Verema. Broke a Fore cannon bone in the leg. Was basically put down while the crowds were cheering the winner across the line. That is just how the racing industry works. Out come the big green shield around the horse and before you know it, its all over. Business decisions. RIP.

Blah-Blah Bar / After the bounce.
I was watching after the bounce today on TV. I haven't laughed as hard in my entire week, as I did watching these guys. Dunstall, Spud, Gaze and Lynch. There was an episode on with Dunstall venting over plays of footy. He obviously chose dribble kicks at goal that don't work our the way they should. It was a laugh and a half watching Jason go right off. Especially Andrew Walker. A game against Sydney where he was around 15m out from goal, on a slight angle. Dribble kicks the ball with 2 Swans defenders close near by that stop the ball dead in its tracks.

I agree him going off on all the kicks. Kick an effen drop punt at half post height. As Jason was stating footy essentially isn't a difficult sport with simple rules, and simple principles. Kick goals and win. Don't over complicate the game trying to be too cute. Drop punt with some elevation straight through the big posts. I have only watched 5 minutes here and there, and never watched the whole show. Sure some of it was pathetic, but some of it was a good laugh.

Dribble kicking works far fewer times than it is a reward. From what I have watched this season, and I have seen many games from many clubs. Its not a percentage play. It works every now and then, but if your in front of the goals on a minimal angle, go a normal drop punt. Its not rocket science, its plain and simple footy.

Robert Heatley Stand / Match tactic.
Just listening to the Port vs Geelong game and then thinking back to out games against Tigers and the Power. How we come back in the second half. I heard Mick say in a few interviews our aim is to "absorb the pressure, and limit the score board damage" in the first half of a game. Is this a genuine tactic or game plan. Not running the first half of a game out hard. Just doing enough to limit the score the other side has at half time.

It appears as though it takes a side 2 hard running first quarters to score enough to be below 5 goals ahead of us. Lots of hard running, fast tempo footy. Yet the nerves of the first quarter especially has sides miss easy shots at goal. All this hard work appears to be almost fully wasted. Once they are tired after half time, we turn up the burners and play free flowing footy of maximum risk and maximum return in the 3rd quarter. Shoot out style footy and sides fail to keep pace. Making the scoring easier because the other side is taxed from the first half.

To run this hard in the first quarter is difficult when all players are full of beans. They tend to zone defend rather than chase one on one all over the ground. In the 3rd and 4th quarter we play one on one, but run hard off the opponent in numbers and are not easily caught.  The ball is forced forwards any way you know how. Kick it along the ground, tap it forward, punch it etc. What ever it takes to keep the ball moving your way. Run the ball as often as you can and play shoot out footy to impact the score board in periods of 5 to 10 mins to cause damage to the opponents confidence.

First half, tight, lock it up footy. focus on tackle and don't run as hard but look to kick to players on a lead. Use the boundary and zone the defence to force your opponent to chip around as much as possible and look for turn overs. Let them run if they wish and use the zoning to get a player caught with no more space to run. Don't waste all your energy chasing a player. Minimal energy used.

Second half go for broke. Spread as often as possible. Run, run, run and score often and quickly. Let them try to chase because they just won't be able to, do to the early fatigue. Just make sure the first half damage on the score board is minimal. Below 5 goals if possible. Less zone defence and one on one footy but plenty of spread when your side has the footy and run in numbers. Open up the forward 50m to free up space. Bring your forwards on the wing and the middle of the ground to drag defenders out of space.

Just something I have noticed watching the play. Something Mick has said more than once and it looks like a tactic. You allow the other side to enjoy a lead if that happens, but you come back with a fury. "Absorb the pressure and minimise the damage".

It sounded stupid a few weeks ago and especially last week, but I think it is starting to make sense. 1st half "Plan A", second half "Plan B".

That is why Mick doesn't take as much notice of the stats and watches the score board. He doesn't care for tackles, contested stats. He worries about the scoreboard. At the end of the day if you win the stats mean nothing. He does hate easy missed set shots on goal. I don't blame him for that. Just some food for thought for any that may have noticed the same in our recent games. I think Micks game plan has evolved to suit the playing group. Works well at the moment. could just be a fluke. ;)

Robert Heatley Stand / Rowe gets another year.
Heard on a quick new flash on the radio that Rowe has signed for another year with the club. I didn't know he was out of contract or is it an extension. Might need to dig around the internet for more information. Great news as I think he has some talent we could use at the club. As his endurance improves he will be a valuable asset. ;)
