Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Post Game Commiserations AFL 2020 Rd 15: Carlton vs GWS
Some of the stuff was hard to watch. The bit of play were Willo and Jones stuffed it up deep in defence by waiting for the other to go only for the GWS fwd to pick it up and kick the goal was embarrassing. Another was two on one in our favour and Hill (I think) out marks them and kicks the goal. Hard to watch that. On a couple of occasions, our players stood waiting for the ball instead of attacking it only to have it intercepted and taken away. I guess our ladder position reflects where we are at, we didnt deserve to make the 8.

This is a great point....

I mean how many times in the last few weeks have we been punished for waiting for the ball.
Or not having the awareness or talk around a contest.
When the first instinct isn't the hunger to get the ball is a big issue.

Dow's career is on the line and did anyone see him chase with any desperation?

Simmo and Eddie couldnt keep their feet a big sign age has caught up with them.

Walsh and Weitering have covered up some pretty big cracks this season.

Last three games will be very interesting with must win games against the Swans and Crows.

Disagree EB, think O'Brien delivers the ball well, at length, into I50.

Has some ticker too. But kennedy deserves a gig first. BOG two weeks running in the 2s.

It's been a tough year for the kids - Dow has a knee but even if fit, hard to find form with no 2s competition?

My changes for next week?

OUT: Newnes, Simmo, McKay, Philp.

IN: Stocker, Fisher, Kennedy, SOJ.

McGovern stays by default.

Simo not getting dropped anytime soon.

Kennedy , SOJ and Cripps cannot all play together =  SLOW

Stocker would want to become a player as I think supporters high hopes far outweigh his
injury prone history and limited output to date.

McGovern dosnt seem to run to the right spots.  But our disposal into forward 50 couldn't be any worse.
We just bomb it on their heads and hope the talls can take a mark. It doesn't get delivered.

Our leaders didnt lay a tackle in the first half. Not a single tackle.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Carlton End Alignment With Northern Blues.
Why can't Preston continue in their own rite like Coburg did when first Fitzroy and the Richmond abandoned them or like Port Melbourne did when North dropped them ?  I'm sure the people connected to Preston for the last 130 years will fight for the clubs survival.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Post Game Passion: 2019 AFL Rd 19: Carlton vs Adelaide
I have always been a fan - I would absolutely hate to see him running around in another club's jumper. Carlton supporter as a kid, has stuck it out through the bad times. I really hope the club make him a good offer and he stays.

Probably not a popular opinion but I would be trying to sign him and then asses his Market Value. ( I'm not sure of Free agent status )
He is a 29 year old who is probably in career best form. ( Therefore try and Sell High )

Better off losing him and gaining something of value than losing say a TDK because of limited opportunities.

I hope he stays aswell but I also hope the club does due dilligence.

Well OK but Lang is certainly no better and Dow has been decidedly ordinary all year and keeps getting a gig.

Let's see what this bloke has at the top level?

I really want to love Dow and his highlights are great but when we don't have the ball he is pedestrian at best.
Zero urgency , even when he is only 10 metres from the ball.

I think its his tank but who knows ?
