I'm not sure what the MC expects when Curnow, Cachia, Mclean, Bootsma and Rowe run out of the race -they're all fairly ordinary really. Then you add Walker, Gibbs and Simpson in defence and you make it so easy for opposition sides to clamp down on Judd and Murphy and you're basically shot before you even start playing the game. Surprisingly disorganised for a coach of Malthouse's standing.
As I have been saying every week, Casboult must play FF, Henderson, Waite, Jamison, McInnes etc for the other key positions and for god's sake put Yarran on the wing and bring Graham in if he's fit.
Bootsma fairly ordinary? C'mon mate have a good look - he's only just started, gonna be a long term Carlton footballer that one.
Casbout needs to be traded, can't kick!
Waitey is not KP FFS, I don't believe Macca is really either...!
I think it is a poor show when a Coach attacks his players - as Mick did last night! What he might say to them in private is one matter, but to be critical publically reveals he has lost it. He ought to apologize What would happen if players criticized the team selections?
So our season is cooked! So take a deep one move on and realise lots of other great things happen in this world!!!! I'm going to surf twice a day for the next eight days in a spring suit far from the cold waters of Victoria.
So I invite you, share some good in your life and lets not all focus on the complete rabble our cherished blues have become.
There is more to life than football and I think a good dose of perspective for lots of people on here can do no harm!
Stoked with the post, hope the waves are not blown out for ya man!
Can you please state exactly what you believe MM did wrong.
Ok I'll humor you!
As stated in a previous post, his game plan is outdated and as the coach he is there to devise game plans to win us games. Someone said earlier, he fcuked around with the squad in the first part of the season and has cost us finals - true. The team (most of which were here last year) don't have the same desire they showed when Rattan was coaching! Trust also we do not have the list to win a flag but we should be higher on the ladder this year. He's not getting the best out of the group and there is a real negativity about the game plan, something like, let's fcuk around with the ball down the wings while the opposition counteract, so by the time we get the ball in to the forward line everyone is manned up, the gaps to lead in to are plugged and we don't score and the opposition clear with ease given numbers.
I've been one calling for Curnow's head and I'm pleased to be able to say I am ecstatic with his turn around to be able to play offensively in his defensive role as shown yesterday.
I still think he is a long way off elite status but a good project coming good to potentially replace Carrots in due course.
Must be said though that Carrots still does a lot for the team that goes unnoticed. Very under rated, still!
Cachia is going to be a very good footballer for us for many years...love him..
Hendo - magnificent and tough along with support from Rowe...
Yarran hasn't gone backwards, he's just adapting to MM. He's going ok IMO, he had some mongrel in him against the saints which I love, no issues with him...
Eddie had a broken jaw not long ago so will take a bit to come back from, confidence wise.
Jeffy is going along fine, he's been smashed from pillar to post and still fronts up time and time again.
Silly topic really, surely we have more than that to discuss....
Jamo did well for a guy being up against a bloody man mountain. Hard to defend against Neanderthals like that particularly when the kicks were perfect for the forward to mark....have another look at the game...

Yarran is not a small forward, doesn't possess the agility. What he is, is a cheetah. He needs some room to extend to be effective. I've said for sometime that he needs to be on a wing, that's when you'll see the best of Chris Yarran.
