Title: Round 10 - Blues v Crows - In game thread

No thread started yet.

We are a dispirited bunch.

Spirited start, good to see.

When SImmo went off, they get 3 in a row.

I wonder if that knee injury will cause the finish to Juddy's career?

Judd's career just ended, got taken off with a knee injury, if it is a reco, then he won't come back in 12-months time.

Welcome back Ratten style of football.  Just with more mistakes.

If Judd is gone can he please take Carrots with him because he's too slow.

Rowe back to his old mistakes.  Dropping marks and not defending his man.

Murphy great quarter.  Like Everitt as a permanent forward.  Buckley very good.  Same goes with Cripps.  why was Simmo off for so long?

Definitely improving, but can't sustain the pressure and make stupid mistakes.

They're playing no worse and some may argue better than when they had super coach  O:-)

Yes some silly mistakes but when they put it together and it works I think they look good - come on boys lets turn it around!!!!

Funny seeing the players trying to adapt to having more freedom. Now to improve disposal and decision making.

Rowe fumbles the mark, drops it and stands there.

If that was Kruezer doing the same thing, he would have jumped in as a second effort to try and get it.

Regarding the mistakes like anything you do over and over you become seamless at it - it will take some time to get MMs bullcrap game plan out of their system.

crap Levi's confidence must be getting lower....

This is true.  If he keeps going like this, he will be a genuine champion and a successor to Judd.

OMG this gameplan is so damn enjoyable!!

Blokes like Curnow and Tutt are liabilities, Everitt some efforts are pathetic. Other than that very happy!

If it wasn't for horrible, dumb blunders in front of goals we'd be near to near in front. or at least awful close.

That smothered ball in the goal square, turnover a Crows goal was a killer 12 pt turnaround. Not to mention Curnow's miss.

19 points down, making stupid mistakes BUT we are actually worth watching!!!!

It's the run, run, run ethos all over again.  And I'm loving it, even if it means we are making some horrible mistakes and still can't get it out of defence from a kick out.

And they're tackling again.  32 in the first half, similar to last week.  Proof positive that MM had lost this group.

We might lose by ten goals again, but this first half has genuinely excited me for the first time this year.

How was that bit of play where we ran it down the wing as a group of five! The players have been released and allowed to play. Thank God the Dark Lord Mark II is gone.

Curnow could've looked alot better if he kicked that goal. Actually had 15 touches. Not sure of the efficiency percentage though.

Good to see them run. Be a couple of weeks before we get the idea on how to do it properly again but as we get better we'll start to win a few again, as a team with this ability should. Mick killed us and it'll take a few weeks to properly rid ourselves of what he has done.

Top quarter from Henderson, great half from Murphy, Tuohy and Walker much better this week, Buckley showing he'll be a good player when he learns to settle, great to see Kreuzer moving well.
White outclassed but there's no one better in the seconds, Curnow's foot skills mean he can never be better than a scrubber, Armfield started well then disappeared, Graham hasn't shown much.
We're having a good crack but it will probably translate into a 6 or 7 goal loss, we're just too far down on skill.

17 scoring shots to 8. Lucky to still be in the game.

Add a few out on the full and kicks smothered in the goal square then the 17 to 8 isn't such a true reflection. Take away the 12 pt turnaround and Curnow shocking blunder and we'd be right on them.

There's a few blokes having trouble with a slightly more offensive style... particularly the slower blokes.

We have to "re-learn" it after Mick ripped the run and flair out of us.

Good first half summary. Hope you're wrong about the loss aspect though. We really are a few blokes down on skill, composure and run. But you can't fault the attitude.

Where has "this" Marc Murphy been all year ??

Also, nice to have a big bodied player in the forward line who can take a pack mark and kick straight, Kreuzer has been badly missed.

Absolutely. Couldn't be prouder of the effort today, sure there were plenty of errors, but they played their guts out.
