I'm a day to day, sometime hour to hour proposition, so I thought I'd set this up. Footy is a funny game.

And I will say it again and ad nauseum

Who ever wears that beautiful Navy Blue Guernsey I EXPECT them as an unconditional requirement they wear it with pride and play with INTENSITY and PASSION AND leave NOTHING on the field.

Go Blues

Docherty has lost his mojo imo. Wasnt great last week and mistake ridden again this week.

We cant stick a tackle at all. Theyre playing with us a bit.

Effort is there I'd just like to see us tackle with more intent.

Our structure looked better this time last yr than they do now.
Fitness is an issue I reckon. We can run back to clog up defense but run out of gas going forward.
We could have plugger and dunstall in our fwd line today and they wouldnt have been able to do anyrhing with our entries.

Yep...chases, tackles and always gets a disposal away to good effect, both he and Marchbank were very good pickups....
Credit to Thomas, hasnt done much but showed some grit to get back on the ground and after that bad miss he made amends with a fine mark and pass..
Matty Wright continues to be a bargain pickup.....

Why can't we match them in the midfield with numbers around the ball like they do. Is that fitness or effort I don't know.

Defensively we look better this week.

Like Picketts game and mcCreadies poise.

Daisy while not a shadow of what he was shows heart and gaugeing by the players half time support of him he is liked by his mates.

Still Hate hogan

I took this post from that pre-match. It probably should go in the post match, but given what happened towards the end of the 2nd...i'll put it here.

Amen. I'd go as far to say Daisy would have the opposite effect - players get disgruntled where they see a highly paid dud (and that's certainly what he has become based on onfield performance) delivering little but getting selected week in, week out.

After Daisy took that mark, and found a teammate who converted, how many blokes ran to daisy to congratulate him? Despite it being very deep in the forward pocket, there was at least 10 blokes who made the effort to get to him.

Does that seem like Daisy has players disgruntled at his salary? Seems to me that this was, yet again, a case of 'lets lose our minds over daisy and make things up to suit our arguments'.

3rd qtr was the worst i'd seem him play after a decent first half when on the ball. Going alright rucking but up forward he is totally lost. Stuffed everything he touched, or at times, didn't tough that qtr.

Geez mate.

Any hope of a positive post.

Find a fault in anything.
Wasn't negative, I did say he does many great things , but left foot is a glaringly obvious flaw where he has been caught  several times today.

A good development run for the youngsters but yes, too many errors from the senior players.

Nowhere near his best.

Murphy, Gibbs and Dicherty have made unforgivable mistakes.

Docherty is still fairly young at 23 so I can probably look past some of those silly mistakes. I can't do the same for Gibbs or Murphy. That lack of quality is what makes us a bottom 4 side.

I think so. The senior guys did not stand up.

Will  be interesting to see MacKay get a run next week a few clean marks up forward would have made a big difference today. But better effort second half

Not many clean marks happening the way we delivered the ball. McKay will watch that volunteer to stay in the NBs...lol.

Have we ever used the ball that bad and nearly won?

Happy with the last half.
The younguns ( sps pickett ) ran out of puff.

Im not a Thomas fan at all but he was a real positive today.

Dochers is definately off. 2 weeks in a row now.
Gibbs.....meh. I will spew if i hear some1 talk about his  "elite" skills.
Murphy tried but tired and his skills suffered too.

The kids gave it a fair crack. Cant ask for much more than that. More preseasons, more size and more experience needed to show their full wares.

Agree.....Docherty been poor this season, Murphy played well at times then just turned the footy over with poor disposal...
Reckon trading Gibbs and Murphy out wont hurt us much.....

Tackiling is so poor...across the team...

I would be. We blundered our way to defeat more so than the fact Melbourne won it.

Pigs ass. Murphy turns it over more than anyone, Gibbs is the hospital pass master.

The bar is set pretty low. My opinion still stands.

That's two nothing games from C.Curnow, if they pick the side on merit he doesn't play next week. Not sure about his brother as well, tries hard but his mistakes were far more costly than possessions, as was the case with Murphy.

Playing Weitering forward is a waste of talent, he had almost zero impact up forward, perhaps he's injured or unfit.

Hard to pick the worst on ground today, too many to choose from, a lot of panic merchants!

Marchbank or Wright were probably among the best.
