"Like".  A pet hate of mine is this sort of thing.  What does undeserving mean etc... please define it, explain it and we can go from there.  I used to get in trouble on facebook from time to time for asking about sources for 'facts'.  They generally aren't backed up (climate change denial)

The only thing I would add for completeness is Anzac Day, the brief history of the night game on the 24th (Melb v Haw?) and Dreamtime.  They may not have mentioned it but it shows where the opener sits over all the marquee games.  Wait until both Richmond and Carlton are good at the same time!

Lyon's a flog but for screws sake, I am getting mighty sick of Timmy screwing Watson!

Every channel 7 sports report opens with EFC bias - it is so pathetic.  Then you have the HS and Robbo, 3-4 articles on EFC just today - wtf, they didn't even make the finals, did they?!

Keep in mind, it's "the big stage"...!!

When we're back in the finals picture all of our games will be blockbusters.

This latest effort is nothing more than a tactical counter attack for the calls last season to have them kiboshed from the Anzac Day. They'll use this Good Friday game as a loss leader to defend the bigger prize. If the Good Friday schedule or the Cheats turn out to be spuds they argue for to surrender Good Friday but retain Anzac Day.

But for other clubs the bigger risk is if by chance the Good Friday schedule is a success, the Cheats have a history of locking these things in long term and good luck getting your share because the AFL Board, AFL Broadcaster and AFL Executive is dominated by CheatsFC benefactors! The word I have is that if they again fail to fill Etihad on Good Friday that will trigger Norp getting the ar5e for it to become a CheatsFC / Handbaggers event. Norp already have the blame allocated to them, despite how quickly the CheatsFC fans bailed last season when they turned sour!

The source of this rumor has been right on the money from day one, so I'm confident of the AFL's long term intent is not a fiction.

That's the problem having a daily program on the electric wireless when things are quiet, you have to make up sh1te to have something to talk about and hopefully make it polarising enough to get people talking and boost the ratings.

Great work, TC. See, broadcasters, research aint that difficult. Now you bone-heads should send TC a research fee for doing your work for you, you lazy pr1cks. $550 seems fair... send 'em your bank account details, TC.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

Gee those two $hit me!!!!

Excellent analysis, but you're missing a bit.

In 2014, we played Richmond on Thursday night in R2 - 62,037 - 12 point loss
I think the MCG was unavailable for R1 as no matches were played there.

In 2013, we played Richmond on Thursday night in R1, but it was a split round, 2 games played the week before. Still, we got 80,971 there, for a 5 point loss.

In 2012,we played Richmond on Thursday night in R1, but it was a split round with GWS first ever game (vs Syd) the week before. Still, we got 78,825 -  44 point win to us.

2011 Thurday night, R1, first game. 60,654 - 20 point win

2010, Thursday night, R1, first game. 72,010 - 56 point win

2009, Thursday night, R1, first game. 87,043 - 83 point win

2008, Thursday night, R1, first game. 72,552 - 30 point loss

2007, sun arvo, R1, last game of round 1. 59,847 - 17 point win.

2006 vs Melb.

So the attendances actually get higher. We gave out a couple of thumpings in there over that time too.

CBF, doing the other games, as i'm sure they are no better anyway.

Those facts will never make it to air on TV or Radio, they do not suit the politics.

Anyone who monitors the TV ratings can clearly see the tripe being delivered by BT, Pink Pig, Special and The Hair Sniffer doesn't match the numbers.

Their position is political not objective, whether it's their position or the networks position doesn't matter, they broadcast it so they wear it!

I wouldn't even be surprised to find that down the track they(CheatsTV) broadcast some fake figures in the best Trump style to justify their position. They can get away with it because there is no independent umpire that really cares about this sort of stuff, it's inconsequential.

Insidiously, I won't be surprised to find Jab Snr parroting out some dodgy figures on SEN to support the CheatsTV case.

The nepotism across AFL media is rampant and out of control, it's the nepotism and politics that destroy the broadcasts on TV and Radio not the games!
